Poetry Place Section Two

This is a continuation of my Poetry Place. In order to keep the pages somewhat short, I've decided to form a list of pages, so that one can view my poems, but not scroll as much for them. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Dreams

Dreams are good, Dreams are nice,
Cute little dogs, funny little mice,
But dreams can be dangerous, to the host,
For it is the one thing that can hurt the heart most.

All Man's Dream

Drift with the currents,
float with the times,
Anger and hatred assault,
Love and peace to result,
battle wage,
famines rage,
life continues onward,
without a glance back,
till life is at end,
and peace is enforced,
not by sword, but by good man's heart.

Heart's Cry

A deceit, some deception
unexpected insurrection
tear the heart, destroy the soul
kill all love, squash it whole
dreamers dream of lovely nights
never thinking of the harshest plights
never letting hope fall
ever though it teeters on the wall
crying out in painful tune
screaming at the pale distant moon
when trust is broken, what remains
are hours of pain, and tear stains
when bond is shattered, broken in two
what is one supposed to do
do they cry, and whimper, moan and shout
curl up in a ball, and let it all out
or do they keep it in, letting it stew
making it a quite dangerous, and volatile brew
one never knows, until forced to choose
one never knows, which path they'll use
but once you start, it's hard to change
for if you turn around, the path's rearranged
thus is how emotions are played
They dodge, and they weave until blood is stayed
and thus you will rest, in eternal bed,
maybe we are, after all, better off dead.

The Redemption

When bleakest black
has fallen back
and misery has finally past
the tears seem to dry so fast
the bond which was broken in two
is reformed with much love, and glue
the desperation was so grave
forcing one to rant and rave
pain inflicted wound will heal
given time, and loving seal
so shed the hurt, and my glove
and surrender once again to unyielding love.

Lover's Thoughts

A day before
A day behind
As sunlight hit my lover's eye
I came to ask and wonder why
My soul cried out when she sighed
and my heart did break when she cried
why my knees went weak with her glance
and her harsh words did pierce me, like a lance
why my lips would tingle from her kiss
and my arms did yearn to hold this Miss
why I wanted to give the world to her
and how I loved hearing her exclaim ‘Monsieur'
why I wanted her to be with me always
and be there for me to love all the days
Finally, I awoke from my dream with a start
and realized she had complete and utter control of my heart.
