Star Trek -
more than just a TV Series!
NEWSFLASH!!!!!
In August 1998, I got married. Why do I mention this in
my Star Trek section? Because we were married as a Star
Trek couple, complete with uniforms and all. Even the
minister donned a uniform for the special occasion. You
can find pics and the story here! Be sure to check them
out, we really were a sight!!!!
There is so much to say about Star Trek that I have
decided to split it up into a few sections:

Don't forget to have a look at my guestbook, and then sign it, too! Oh, and since the guestbook is
for all of my pages, not just Star Trek, don't be put off
by the definitely non-Star Trek design .... ;o)
By the way, you are visitor number to find out what Star Trek
means to me since July, 7th, 1998.
Star Trek
-- what it means to me...
I got into
STAR TREK only a few years ago, in 1992, when I watched
the re-runs of the original series on British television.
If you're British, you might remember when they were
shown on BBC2, Wednesdays at 6 p.m. In the weeks before,
they showed The Next Generation, and that was quite
interesting, but the original episodes really got me into
it. I got myself a VCR, so that I wouldn't miss an
episode when I went to work at the local pub. A few weeks
later I was hooked. I found some books at WHSmith,
started collecting those as well.
Back in Germany, I went to the cinema for STAR TREK
nights, watching all movies in a row. I got invited to
visit a Trek Dinner. I started going regularly, once a
month, together with my sisters, who are fans as well. We
made a lot of friends there, and with some of them we
formed a crew, where I was first the on-board Vulcan
diplomat and later got promoted to Captain of the U.S.S.
LaVayette.
On one of these dinners, I met a really sweet guy. He was
Commander, and was only visiting on occasion of the STAR
TREK exhibition in Cologne. Otherwise, we would probably
never have met. But luckily we did, and we got married in
August 1998 this year - in uniform. (Click
here if you want to see some pics.)
So you see, STAR TREK has become part of my life. Not
only do I enjoy the episodes, both old and new, I also
had (and still have) a lot of fun because of it, I have
made friends because of it, and I met the love of my life
because of STAR TREK. Isn't that a lot for a "simple
TV series"?????
And because STAR TREK has become so important to me, I
include these pages to my site.
