The island of Herm Herm is a small island about 3 miles from Guernsey. It is a
tourist attraction popular with both visitors and locals who appreciate it's unique
beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Cars are not allowed on Herm, and the only motorised
vehicles tolerated are a few tractors and quad-bikes necessary for farming.
The main harbour is situated on the west coast of
Herm. Guernsey's St Peter Port harbour can be seen just across the stretch of water known
as the Little Russel. Boats travel frequently during the summer season, most bringing
daytrippers to the island, and others such as the early morning milk boat export Herm's
produce. |
