The story is thus...
It was far to cold to spend new years in Korea. I had the time, I had the money -- so I went Home. It is perhaps a very New Zealand association, but Christmas and New Years holidays are irrevocably linked with sun, sand, alcohol, fish and chips and factor 30 sunscreen. This year was to be no different.
To make the occasion even more perfect friend had to be contacted and rounded up. My generation of 20 something kiwis burdened as we are by student debts and alienated by nine years of New Right National Party government have been scattered across the earth. To get more than 3 of my friends in the same room at the same time is quite the task. Thankfully the collective drive to be on a beach combined with the downfall of the Nats in the General election and general Y2K hysteria brought a large number of us to Purangi. Here is the evidence....
