Your Voice
by J.Artemis and J.Avon
A voice across a distance vast
Calls to me, the dreaming past,
This love, no longer just a dream,
as I, for you, am falling fast,
And I, my love, had just begun
To think that all mine love was done
As if mine heart had gone to sleep
Then, you woke me, my beloved one.
Now, to you, I pen the verse
That will remove the sleep, its curse
Of dreaming in this solitude
That now I see was so perverse.
To think I’d not predicted this,
The wonton need of your caress
And soulful eyes, loving me,
And mine surrender to your kiss.
I, the one who always knows
Where and how her water flows,
Is suddenly cast into the realm
Of sweet surprise where no one goes!
The gods have other plans, it seems
For now, reshaping all my dreams
To lay you there within the mist
With me to figure what it means.
It seems the die is truly cast
to form a love that's borne to last
for as we ford this cyber-stream
we build a bond that reigns supreme.
