'From Leagues Afield'
by Jordan Avon

From leagues afield, thy missives fly
like flights of arrows, bringing nigh

Each message thou hast writ to me
As I return my own to thee

I kiss the fletching, soft and down
that from thy dearest heart has flown

And wish that it were thy sweet form
that I caress, both sweet and warm

For `cross these distances between
such Love, the world has not yet seen

Will we enact, then, when we meet
Instead of this swift missives' fleet.--

'To a World Away'
by Jordan Avon

Enchantment is what's felt inside
when thoughts of thee, within reside

Awash with images sublime
I try to capture, in my rhyme

A conjuration most complete
a world where this love most sweet

May be enshrined in flesh one day
as thine own spirit finds its way

And finds your dulcet, gentle feet
standing at last upon my street

To whisk you to a world away
is my fond wish, if thou dost stay.--

'Waiting for my Lady Fair'
by Jordan Avon

Waiting for my lady fair
whose lovliness perfumes the air

And makes of me...a man content
within thine heart, whom Gods hath sent

For always so... `twill ever be
If thou wilt cleave thy heart to me.--

The Lady’s Dance
by J.Artemis

Upon a hill of velvet green,
Along a winding road
I will bid thee sit a while,
Set down your heavy load.

Amidst the flow’ring myrtle,
With birdsong all around,
I shall dance a leg for thee
Around the faeries mound.

I’ll bend to thee in quickness light,
Albeit, for one kiss
Then dance away again, once more
Nary a step amiss.

The song shall carry me along
As oft’ in truth it can,
Whene’er a lady dances thus
For such a handsome man.

I’ll make ye smile with but a wink
I swear, ‘tis true I will
Then spin around once more, again
Your cup of ale to fill.

And all the while within me ‘art
Beats out the rhythm of
The perfect cadence of the dance,
The music of our love.

'A Chalice Be'
by Jordan Avon

The day that metal bird alights
that bears thee `pon its weary flight
Will be a day when joys abound
when thy sweet feet do touch the ground

We'll fall into such soft embrace
and know full well, we've found the place
Where our two hearts may be as one
in tenderness, beneath the Sun

Who smiles down upon our love
and settles lightly, like a dove
To hold us in its warm embrace
as gently I shall kiss thy face

For passion's flame will take us both
as spoken love becomes our oath
In ardor shall we be consumed
with lovings' scent, we'll be perfumed

For we shall both, a chalice be
I'll drink of thee, as thou wilt me
And sated well, in loving arms
we'll gently rest, removed from harm.--

Thy Gentle Place'
by Jordan Avon

My lady fair, I must convey
my feelings for thee in this way
For let me banish all thy fears
my heart is thine, for all thy years.

There is no muse like unto mine
whose words so much akin do shine
with the same luster as mine own
as thy sweet verse, as Time hath shown

Thy gentle place within my heart
a fortress with stalwart rampart
can never be assailed then
for there be no need to defend

For we are as we'll always be
Two souls entwined, as thou wilt see
For Fate hath brought thee to this place
to where I kiss thy lovely face.--

'Lady Dove'
by Jordan Avon

My Lady fair, each quest that calls
thee from thy shadowed castle's halls
to meet the foe, and win the day
know that I my love shall ever stay

And comfort thee, as set thee out
to find the grail, put foes to rout
Whatever I may give to thee
to aid thee bestow willingly

In hopes that when the day is done
thy battles over, all is won
That what I may have wrought from Love
has been of service, Lady Dove.
