The Taelon mothership's interdimensional engines drag the vessel towards the Jaridian homeworld, apparently at Kincaid's request. Can Liam be cleared and the ship stopped before the war is lost with the capture of those on board?
This is very cleverly constructed, with each character knowing someone else's secret and playing them to their own advantage. Da'an knowledge of Sandoval's breaking-down CVI allows him to call the shots, and Lili's knowledge helps Liam. This story also strengthens the trust between several of the main cast, particularly creating a new truce between Liam and Sandoval. It's ironic that almost everyone's secrets come out during the story, but manage to stay concealed again by the end. On the downside, there is also an irritating clichéd reporter running around the ship, and Leni Parker seriously overdoes Da'an's cleverness by making him look and seem immensely smug when he outwits Zo'or.
Acting against this strong characterization that enables people to come to a new understanding is the dialogue, which consists for Liam of some of the most horrendous technobabble ever. I don't care what he says, he's clearly just trying to jump-start the ship's main engines. The surprise twists are obvious when they come, but the frenetic pace of the episode makes you forget how thin the story actually is and keeps the viewer involved. It'd be nice to actually learn what the SI Wars were though.
There are some new ideas for the ongoing story here, but there should have been less unintentionally funny moments. Oddly though, it's an immensely enjoyable episode.
