'When Augur decides to try out the Taelon Commonality for himself, he manages to separate Da'an from it, causing the alien to de-evolve into the Taelon equivalent of a caveman. Zo'or, ever keen on the subtle approach, sends Sandoval, Beckett, Kincaid and Marquette to kill this 'atavus'. Although this is yet another episode where everyone runs around trying to find someone and bring them in dead or alive, it is important for following up several plot threads, not only explaining what happened between Lili and Da'an when they touched hands last season, but also exactly what the shakarava (mentioned in Pandora's Box) is.
There are further developments in the ongoing arc here too. The first is Liam showing he is his own man, neither exactly working for the Taelons or the Liberation, although he still comes across as something of a clone of Boone, who also questioned the actions of both sides. Also, despite the fact that her CVI will kill her if Beckett discovers her relationship to Liam, he still seems determined to get her to remember – not the most caring of attitudes. Meanwhile, Zo'or rises to a new level of power that can only be bad news for just about everyone, leading to a brilliant surprise ending.
However, the best aspect of the episode is the return of the embodiment of Augur's computer system, which last episode he had programmed as Lili in lingerie. Now she has become Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie, complete with costume and blinking every time she performs a function. It's clearly good fun for Lisa Howard, who could almost be Barbara Eden. Let's hope the producers don't lose this idea, it makes for great fun.
