The Gallery of Muad'dib

The Gallery of Muad'dib was set up to provide visual records of Paul Atreides, his transformation into Muad'dib and eventual rise to become Emperor of the known universe. The gallery is divided into seperate sections for each great house or important faction.

House Atreides: The house of Paul Atreides before he became Muad'dib. House Atreides always stood for loyalty and honor. They ruled over their homeworld of Caladan before they were reassigned the CHOAM directorship of Dune in 10,191. Duke Leto the Just ruled House Atreides before his death on Arrakis in 10,191.

House Harkonnen: The enemies of House Atreides, House Harkonnen was ruled by the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen until his death in 10,193 on Arrakis. The Harkonnens were the directors of Arrakis before the directorship was reassigned to House Atreides, adding even more to their rivalry. The Harkonnen's ruled the industrial planet Geidi Prime.

House Corrino: Emperor Shaddam IV ruled House Corrino, and also the entire known universe until he abjucated the throne to Muad'dib in the year 10,193. Shaddam IV's daughter, Irulan, was wed to Muad'dib so he could claim the throne legally.

The Guild: If it were not for the Guild, transportation between worlds in the Empire would be impossible. The Guild, through their addiction to the spice Melange are able to fold space and transport ships to other worlds.

The Bene Gesserit Sisterhood: The Bene Gesserit Sisterhood was developed after the Butlerian Jihad like the Guild. The Sisterhood's goal, however, was to carry out a breeding program throughout the millienia to obtain a Kwisatz Haderach, the universe's superbeing which they had hoped to control.

The Fremen: The Fremen control Arrakis through desert power. Not much was known about them to the outer worlds, not even their population. Baron Harkonnen suspected that there may be a few thousand Fremen on Arrakis. The Fremen's ruthlessness was legendary, and in two standard years they brought spice production to a standstill.
