Hello, I'm Gerry Baygents. Welcome to my Homepage, currently under construction. Now, most of what you see below you is true, as I have been wasting time here instead of on my studies. Enjoy!
I was graduated from the Department of Mathematics at the University of South Carolina, receiving my MS in Mathematics in December 1996. My Masters Thesis is entitled Reducibility Criterion in Polynomials With Non-Negative Coefficients. Click here for a brief explaination. Hopefully I soon have an online copy available.

Presently, I'm earning another Bachelor's degree, a BA in Music (this is assuming that I can finance the endeavor). In the meantime, I'm a part-time faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at USC Columbia and--my favorite--I work at Boardwalk and Park Place, Purveyor of Fine Games.

This past summer (1997) I taught an introductory computer class at Midlands Technical College as a part of their Upward Bound program. Here's what some of my students had to say about the experience...
