Edward IV

Edward IV was one of the chief contenders for the throne during the Wars of the Roses. He was king of England from 1461 until 1470, and from 1471 until his death in 1483. Prior to 1461, and in the period 1470-71, Henry VI was the king.

After his death, Edward IV was succeeded by his son, Edward V.
