The Fremantle Dockers had their first season in the AFL in 1995. Right from the start, the astounding skills of their players have made them a force to be reckoned with, as their record of finishing 13th, 13th, 12th, 15th, 15th, 12th, 16th and 13th clearly shows. Then in 2003 they managed to finish 5th, but quickly redeemed themselves by losing their first ever final. 2004 and 2005 saw a return to normality, with Freo managing to just miss out on the finals in both years. Then last year the side came home with a wet sail and stormed into the finals. Not only that, they won a final. Now Fremantle are being tipped as one of the flag favourites for 2007. Can they live up to the expectations? Only time will tell. Because of the short history of the club, there are still one or two players around the place who played in that very first year. One of them is the legend that is Shane Parker. He's the record holder for most games with the club. That's probably worth remembering for any trivia nights you might go to.
The list below is a summary of the fixtures and results for the Fremantle Dockers for the year 2007. More in-depth reviews of some of the games are also available. I also have review for some matches from 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

2007 has been a disappointing year for me as a Freo supporter on several levels. Firstly, the on-field performances have been a lot less exciting that I was hoping. I didn't buy the predictions that said that Freo were favourites to win the premiership, but the good run at the end of last year gave me plenty of hope that they would be top four contenders. As it has turned out, they've missed the finals and sacked the coach. My other major gripe is that the new TV contract seems to have made it even harder for me to get to see my team on TV. There are 4 games in Melbourne, and so far I have been able to see exactly one other game on free to air TV. Sure, I could get Foxtel, but I shouldn't have to.
