(...tada!)
This summer I particpated on a panel at the Santa Barbara Writer's Conference and met some enthusiastic and talented writers. On Labor Day, I rewarded myself at Bill Cannon's Writer's Retreat at the Circle C Ranch. While I was doing all this, cavorting around the country, my son, Richard, and his wife, Lily, presented me with a new grandchild, an eight pound, eight ounce baby girl. Family matters will really accelerate now.
Our classes are going well. The new one - A Novel Beginnning - is meeting with enthusiasm. I also won an aqui-IBM award, that's what! (another tada!)
We have been selected to judge the Global Information Infrastructure Awards in the Arts and Entertainment Division. Watch for it.
TWO BY TWO is a program which is now growing exponentially. It's for all the women who aren't yet on line for any number of reasons. At the time of the Women's Conference in Beijing I made a commitment that I would teach two women to use the net provided each of them would then teach two more. This gig honors that commitment. BTW, any of you in cyberspace are free to adopt the idea. E-mail me if you do. I'll be glad to hear from you.
