Medical Insurance

All people taking part in courses, other programmes or using the facilities of the Cyprus College of Art, for any length of time are required to possess adequate medical insurance to cover them in the event of an accident or emergency.

The minimum requirement is that the medical insurance covers the full cost of emergency medical treatment. In addition, if you are not normally a resident of Cyprus, the medical insurance must cover you for repatriation back to your home country in the event of medical treatment that prevents you from continuing at the Cyprus College of Art.

There are many medical insurance policies available, and you should look in your local telephone directory, ask at your bank or contact an insurance sales agent about the different policies available. It is your responsibility to ensure that any insurance policy you purchase covers you for the full duration of your activity at the Cyprus College of Art, provides adequate cover for your activities at the Cyprus College of Art, and is suitable for your personal circumstances.

You are advised to shop around for an insurance policy as costs and types of cover do differ. For long term stays 'Backpacker' policies can offer good value. Long term stays are not usually covered by 'Annual' policies.

The Cyprus College of Art does not recommend any particular insurance agent or product, but if you would like to look at the website of JS Insurance it will give you an idea of the type of policies available.
