hinese Undergraduate Student Association was formally established in July 1996, founded by four Mainland Chinese students here at UW-Madison, among them are Edward Fan (1st term President of CUSA), Chen Zhou (1st term Publicity Coordinator), To Cheung, and Ming Wan (1st term Activity Coordinator).

Throughout Fall’96 and Spring’97 CUSA successfully organized several events for its members, among the most significant are the annual Potluck party at the beginning of Fall semester, the Thanksgiving party, and the Chinese Spring Festival Show performances by CUSA members.

To implement more variation into this association, CUSA also publishes a Newsletter titled ÈË ¼ä Ö¸ ±± . This semester digest was created by Lily Liang (1st term Vice President of CUSA and Editor of Newsletter), in order to motivate students’ interest and enthusiasm toward organizational events, and to entertain the members by conducting a Chinese orientated Newsletter that contains leisure readings, news updates, poetry, essays, comics, etc… Starting Fall 1997, our Newsletter staff will aim to publish two editions of ÈË ¼ä Ö¸ ±± each semester.

For more new information concerning CUSA, please regularly check this CUSA Online website, which is maintained by Joe Feng (2nd term Publicity Coordinator) and Lily Liang (2nd term President).
