1996 Chairman's Letter to Ghana

Dear Mrs. Djokotoe

On behalf of the Gonja Association of North America, it is my pleasure to inform you   that we have selected the following six students to receive the first Gonja Association of North America scholarship award in the amount of one hundred US dollars   each.  The awardees are:

Wayo, Aminata, Bole Sec. Sch.,  P. O. Box 32, Bole, NR. Ghana.
Sanusi, Harruna, I. P. S., Box 149, Legon, Accra, Ghana.
Adams, Korkor Bukari, P. O. Box 44, Bole, NR., Ghana.

An award letter has been sent to each of the students. A total of six hundred dollars will be sent to you as soon as possible, so that the students can receive their awards by the end of January 1997.  We will be most grateful if you can obtain some publicity for the awards ceremony,either in the from of photographs or newspaper article. We sincerely appreciate your effort in locating and encouraging the students to participate in this program. The 1997 award competition is now open with an August 31st deadline. The details of the program would be sent to you as soon as possible. It is our hope that you will continue to encourage
the students to apply for the award.

Once again on behalf of the Gonja Association of North America, thanks for making the 1996 GANA scholarship award a success.  Suggestions to improve the Scholarship program would be appreciated.  Copies of this letter has been sent to the students and must be presented as a form of identification to receive the award.
