In early spring '97, we did a few gigs under the rather hastily thought out name "Come to Stay" (yuck...), playing at local pubs to support Odd Walter's rather thin finances. Can't say that doing Beatles, CCR and other 60's stuff for 4 straight hours was THAT much fun, but at least provided me with much needed stage experience.
In the summer of '97, we teamed up with mutual buddy Arnt Rune to form the trio "Tactless" (12-string acoustic, 6-string acousticaster, electric bass guitar and all of us on vocals), and toured the nearby region doing 13 gigs in 6 weeks (phew...). More details on the tour here: TACTLESS TOUR '97
I might start posting my own lyrics on this page one day, but I'll keep them under wraps just a little while longer... *s*
If you wonder what kind of music I listen to, there's simply no easy explanation available. It's simply too diverse to describe easily. So, I've done you all a favor and listed all the bands and artists figuring in my shelves with music:
Just be warned - it's NOT a pretty page by any means (in an HTML-sense of the word).MUSIC!!!!
I've been doing some serious amateurish meddling in the music business the last couple of years. Since 1992, I've been trying to become a decent vocalist/guitar player, with varying degrees of success... Me and my best bud, Odd Walter (don't laugh, that's his name, ok? *s*), have been doing some musical cooperation over the last 5 or 6 years, with both of us writing various kinds of lyrics and tunes all the while. Myself, I'm heavily influenced by bands/artists like Jethro Tull, Marillion, late a-ha, U2, and too many other bands to mention. Odd Walter, on the other hand is a more blues/rock/roots-oriented fellow with his base in Deep Purple/Gary Moore/Mark Knopfler-land.
Else - the equipment I'm using is as follows:
- Godin Acousticaster semi-acoustic electric guitar
- Seagull 12-string Western guitar
- Peavy Bravo 112 amp for practicing purposes
- Various effect pedals
