The Black Hills, in western South Dakota, U.S.A., are the highest mountains between the Alps of Europe and the Rocky Mountains of North America. The Lakota place spiritual significance on these hills, and call them Paha Sapa. It is also called the Black Hills National Forest, and is open for all people to enjoy their beauty.
I spent most of my childhood living, and playing, in these mountains.
