'...and find you've touched the face of God':
God, Alla, and so on are words used to describe an individual - a
creator in most cases. An actual being, great beyond all others, to be
both feared and cherished. For myself, discovery is just that - it
opens emotions within my self beyond mere existence or survival. And
like the Omnipotent Judeo-Christian God, my Discovery is to be both
feared and loved, and for good reason - there are dangers in the
dark. But there is danger in staying in the light, as well. While
sticking to law (of survival in this case) and not upsetting the
"balance of nature" may help to insure short-term survival for the
individual, it does the opposite in the long run by allowing the whole
to grow stagnate, until it ceases to exist.
'...and recognize that face as your own.':
This I will have to leave impossibly short of a complete lineation.
While we, with Ego (identity of self) see our 'selves' - as separate,
individual 'things', the fact remains that we are more than that. We
are What Is. People fear a god simply because they fear themselves,
and refuse even to acknowledge that they are God, or Universe,
or The Ode To Joy, as well as devil, pain, envy, stupidity, and all
the rest. Discovery is inspiration - evolution, and therefore Life.
Without it, we, and ego, cease.
