Cinnamon is now traveling to Alberta, Canada. Her first adventure started with a trip to our local post office where she learned all about the postal system. She received a tour from the postmaster before tucking her into her box for the long journey.

Castor, Alberta, Canada

Dear Class,
I arrived in Castor on Friday, but Mrs. Windross did not pick up her mail until Monday morning. I sure was glad to get out of that box. The kids here think I am very cute and cuddly. I spent my day with their
travel buddy from New Zealand. His name is Marmite and he is a kiwi.
It was about 6 degrees here today and most of the snow has melted. It got very snowy after school for about an hour! There are lots of signs of spring here. There is lots of water and the kids can get very muddy when they go out to play. I saw some
Canada geese who are coming back to nest and other birds like crows and robins. Mrs. Windross was very excited to see a bald eagle this weekend. The kids here have also seen gophers who are beginning to wake up after their long winter's hibernation.
What is the temperature like there?
I will write again tomorrow and hopefully send a picture.

April 3
Dear Class,
I walked down to the post office and mailed Cinnamon this morning. I would have done it on Thursday afternoon, but we were so pressed for time I was afraid that I would forget to pack something! Because of the Easter
holidays, she won't leave town until Tuesday. She should arrive in Terence Bay by the following Monday.

Hi
Well, Cinnamon has finally arrived in Terence Bay!! She arrived safely Friday just as we were leaving for home. The class enjoyed reading about her adventures in Alberta and are looking forward to showing her around our
school this week. We were in our computer lab this morning and many of the student checked out her webpage. We sent a postcard and one of the students will e-mail tomorrow to send an update.
Bye for now,
Sandra and class
