- The Shepherd's Voice is a Christian magazine that serves teens and youth. However, adults
also find great interest in it.
- The Shepherd's Voice is published by St. George’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Sporting,
Alexandria, Egypt.
- Ten issues of the Shepherd's Voice are published annually; one issue per month except for
the months of May & October.
- 13500 copies of the Shepherd’s Voice are distributed each month in Egypt and countries
abroad including USA, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Kuwait, Singapore, South Africa,
and Oman.
- The work group consists of volunteers who use their personal talents and skills to gather the
material, edit various sections of the magazine, print it and distribute it.
- Each copy costs half Egyptian pound in Egypt. Annual subscriptions are available for 10
Egyptian Pounds in Egypt and 10 American Dollars in all other countries which include
shipping expenses.

* The Story Of Shepherd's Voice:
- The Shepherd’s Voice was conceived in January 1975, under the supervision of Father.
Pishoy Kamel, reverend priest of St. George’s Church. The editors were a group of
volunteers who served teens and youth in Sunday School Services.
- The Shepherd’s Voice was published for 5 years until 1979; then reappeared in January
1985 with a new elegant shape, commencing the beginning of its sixth year.
- The Shepherd’s Voice has been published since then, with God’s grace, and has undergone
several developments.

* The Mission:
The Shepherd’s Voice serves an important and critical age. This period in life defines the
personality and shape the future treats. Taking on this great responsibility, the Shepherd’s
Voice targets:
- Forming a well rounded personality based on ethical, biblical and ecclesiastical
foundations.
- Offering the right Christian view for subjects that interest the targeted age, also
introducing some cultural and psychological topics to help teens developing their
personalities.
- Facilitating the communication between the youth and the mother Church, and
implanting the love of the Church in their hearts. This is achieved through articles which
introduce and explain church’s rites, liturgies, doctrines and history to strengthen their faith
against all evil trends, and encourage them to live according to the gospel of Christ.
- Improving teens’ mental abilities, and providing practical Christian life experience.
- Saturating teens’ thoughts with various noble ideas that may lead to plentiful good
fruits.
- Encouraging teens’ talents like reading, researching, drawing, crafting, creativity, etc...
* We use different ways to accomplish our mission: stories, illustrations, real life examples,
history of the church fathers, modern life experiences, information, dialogues, interviews, quizzes,
and questions and answers.
