Colour plays a very important part in all our lives. The colours we surround ourselves with will influence our mood, our thoughts, even our appetites! Colour also plays a very important part in our rituals. From the colour of the cloth we select to cover our altar, to the hue of the candles we use in our rites, we use colours to empower and enhance our workings, and lend their strengths to our own. What follows is a listing of various primary colours, as well as how they are used in ritual. When they differ, I have listed in a seperate column their properties when used with candles.
