This programme offers two major fields of study: (1) Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Language Teaching with primary concentration in English and French; and (2) Specialist degree in Foreign Language Teaching with primary concentration in English.
The Bachelor of Arts degree programme is intended for students who plan to pursue a vocational career or graduate studies in teaching. The emphasis is upon acquiring skills necessary for becoming professional teachers.For students interested in graduate study in the field, it establishes a background adequate for continuing work and specialization.
The Specialist degree permits students to complete all requirements for the corresponding certification. It also allows in-service teachers to improve and perfect their language skills and to keep up to date in pedagogical advances. The requirements for admisssion are: (1) B.A. or equivalent in the target language, in foreign language teaching, or another appropriate discipline; (2) Undergraduate minimum Grade Point Average of 3.50 overall; (3) A proficiency test in English; (4) An interview conducted in the target language.
