                  the life of this planet.

                  There are 8 main holy days 4 Equinoxes and 4 Solstices.  
                  These days are called the Sabbats. There are also the 13 full moons, 
                  in which to celebrate. The 13th moon in a Year is called a blue 
                  moon; it is the full moon that is the second moon in a month. 

Yule December 21= This the longest night of the year and is when the sun starts to come out more each day from then on. In the religion it is the time when the Great Horned or Green god dies and goes back in to the Goddesses womb. We rejoice in his death, though it is a sad time, it is also a time to remember what was lost will come again.

Imbolc February 2= This is the time when we celebrate a New Year and new beginnings, when light is truly coming to our lives again and all things are to start over from the beginning and start anew, as this is the beginning for the Goddess as well.

Ostara March 21

Beltane April 30= Beltane or Mayday is a day of love it is the day when in olden times a villages young unwed women and men were brought together to make a union between them and to be wed. The men would run out into the forest and hide then the women would be set free to catch them and when they found there love they would couple in the forest and hence where "married" One of the many ceremonies the women preformed was the May pole where they would tie beautiful long ribbons (Of various bright colors) to the top of trees and then all would grab a ribbon and swing the ribbons around the tree or staff to symbolize the days unions. This is the day that the Goddess couples with herself so as she could beget herself. (explained more on the myths page)

Samhain October 31= As we all know today people celebrate Halloween on this day, a day where children dress up like little goblins and ghouls sometimes even the green witches with the mole on the end of their noses. Yet this day is also a day to say goodbye and/or make or peace with the departed. Every Sunset and Sunrise the veil between the Spirit world and the Mortal world is lessened but This day at those times is when the veil is the thinnest. It is the Final harvest when the farmers gather the last of their crops and store them for the long winter to come.
