Dear Mom and Dad,

I went to Rockport because I wanted to go fishing. While I was fishing, two small green dragons popped up out of the water. It was a mother and her baby. They were small and green as lizards. Their scales looked soft as cotton. Their wings were so colorful they looked like a sky full of kites. Their eyes sparkled like diamonds. The mother had clear circular crystals on each of her green scales. And her baby had a fiery ruby on each of her green scales. The mother was the size of a puppy, and her baby was the size of a newborn kitten. Since they were nice I gave them some fish. When I began to go back to the condo they followed. So now they're my pets. Unfortunately they gobbled down all my candy. I call the mother Puppy and her baby Baby. I named them Candy Dragons because they ate all my candy. But the best part about having them is they make great roasted marshmellows! Now I'm in a condo, and I'll come home soon.

Rachael

Dear Mom,

I made it to Antarctica for my vacation. It was a nice cold day (of course!) when a friend and I found a very, large igloo. I like to explore and my friend was curious, so we went in. Inside there was a monstrous dragon. He was bigger than 30 elephants put together with sharp teeth and claws that were sharper than the sharpest object in the universe. He had spikes on his tail, back, chin, nose, and back of his feet. He was also as white as snow. He had eyes that were pure light blue like electricity and sparkled in the sunlight. His wings were as shiny as gold. His mouth was big enough to hold 5 elephants. He had scales strong as 15 layers of solid steel. His claws were so sharp that a very light poke would pierce skin. He looked fiercer than 10 tigers put together. His claws, teeth, and spikes had dried blood from a lot of victims.

When he saw us he breathed electricity at us. I jumped away successfully, but my friend didn't. While the dragon took care of him, I ran all the way back to my igloo. Back there, I named it the Electricity Dragon because it breathes electricity.

Jimmy

Dear Ty,

One day I was going to Vietnam. I was visiting my mom and dad. When I was in the airplane, I saw a dragon out my window. It was big as two schools put together. It didn't have sharp teeth. It had patches of green, yellow and red on his wings. It had dark blue eyes like an ocean at night. It was nice. When I got off the plane, it saw me. It played with Cliff and me. I brought him home with me because he is my friend. I named him Dude because he is cool. I use him as a horse because he likes it.

Dear Alyssa,

I went to Australia to find a red kangaroo. Instead of finding a red kangaroo I ran in to a red dragon. It would do. When I found the dragon, he started dancing like a gypsy. It was as red as fire. And it was as long as two school buses put together. It had a streak of fire on top of its head. I bumped into him in a smelly jungle. I suddenly found out that this dragon was not a normal dragon when he started talking. He had three horns and two legs. He said he didn't have a name. So I named him the Fire Dragon.

Dear Mother,

I accidently went in an underground world. It all happened when I was driving to Port Aransas to spend my summer vacation. I saw a dragon covered with splashes of blue, green, purple and yellow. The dragon had tie-dye hair. He was slimy like a monster and had guns, lasers, and spitballs strapped to his head and body. I call the dragon Gun Master. Then Gun Master swooped down and started blowing fire and shooting at me. So I swerved my land cruiser and the ground opened. I was in Spice World! After a few days the dragon came down after me. So I ran (seeing how I love this world,) but the dragon caught me. So he took me prisoner. I'm writing from prison. And if you don't help me, I will get eaten.

Love,

Caleb

PS. Get your bazooka and shoot this guy for me, will ya?

Dear Mom,

Last week I went to Tazmania and went hunting. I was looking for anything to shoot. I looked up and saw a dragon in the sky. When I saw him my body started shaking. It had fierce eyes like a lion hunting. Its sharp claws were as white as snow. It had pricklies like sharp knives from its head down to its tail. His chest was dark red and was hard as steel. His teach were sharp as a rhino's horn. He smelled like trash. He was as tall as a 40-story building. He couldn't be killed unless he got stabbed in the face.

Suddenly, he came running after me. Then I shot him right in the face. He fell like a skyscraper. Everybody in the town thanked me because they had no more worries.

Love,

Chris
