In Honor of Veterans

Comments by Brian Pohanka - September 5, 2000

Henry J. Mills...[Here] is an image I took November 11, 1998, 80th Anniversary of Armistice Day. This man [Henry J. Mills] over 100 years old, fought in France with the Rainbow Division.

[Note: On November 11, 1998, U.S. veterans Henry J. Mills and and James G. Dunton were presented the insigna of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by France's ambassador, François Bujon de l'Estang, in the name of French President Jacques Chirac. Mills, 103 years old and a resident of West Virginia, served in the famous Rainbow Division. Dunton, 99 years old and a resident of Virginia, served in the Army Ambulance Corps.]
