Tarot Master v2.03

Tarot Master brings the mysticism of tarot readings to your computer. It has some shortcoming but is generally well done. Select one of the sample layouts, then concentrate on your question. The cards will be displayed and you can click on each one to learn the significance of position in the layout and the meaning of the card itself. Create your own card layouts with your descriptions of the meaning in the layout, using easy tools. You can't print or save except by first converting to HTML, and you can't browse the tarot deck to familiarize yourself with the meanings. Documentation consists of an HTML readme file and pop-up tips.

Rider Tarot v4.0

Rider Tarot is a tarot program based on a specific set of tarot cards called the Rider-Waite deck. These cards are the best known tarot symbols, combining ancient history and psychic mystery. The program includes 12 different spreads with interpretations. A manual card selection menu is available for those who would like to record readings with real cards. The spreads include Celtic, French, Star, and Question and Answer readings. The main screen shows your spread selection and displays the cards as they are shuffled. You select a card by clicking on it, and the symbol is shown with an interpretation at the bottom of the screen. Your readings can be saved and printed for future reference. If you have a Sound Blaster- compatible sound card, the program will play classical music while you consult the cards. Mouse support is also included.

Egyptian Tarot v3.0

Egyptian Tarot is a game of divination that combines mystery, sound, history, and graphics. Cards with images of Egyptian symbols are used in this menu-driven program that uses 12 different spreads, including the traditional Celtic and new Horoscope spreads. Each card is shown with an explanation of its position and a general definition of the card's meaning. Your readings can be printed for future reference. Sound card and mouse support is provided. The graphics are attractive, on-line help is provided, and the variety of readings make this program entertaining. The interpretations, however, can sometimes be too narrow to make sense.

Lunabar 98 v3.2

Lunabar 98 is an interesting add-on for the Windows 95 system tray. In addition to displaying the phases of the moon as an icon, it offers a lunar almanac. The almanac, which is just a mouse click away, contains the daily rising, southing, and setting times of the moon at your location, as well as the moon phase, constellation, sign, and lunar-related quotations and lore. Solar, seasonal, and astrological information is available, too. A built-in calendar enables you to find lunar information for virtually any date, and a button bar lets you access options and different dates with ease. Lunabar offers form as well as function -- its attractive interface offers a multitude of different background graphics from which to choose. Other features include printing, online support, reference material, and multiple language support.

Halloween Spirit Board

Haloween Spirit Board offers you the opportunity to talk to the "other World Wide Web". Simply type in your questions and the Spirit Board will respond with a surprising answer. The graphics are great and the eerie background music and sounds make this a spooky seance for a dark and stormy night. You've got control over resolution, display drivers, sound volume for both music and effects and speed of the message delivery. This demo will let you ask five questions per session, then the spirits suggest that it would be prudent to buy the full version. Surprisingly, when asked how many questions the spirits would be willing to answer, the board did not know. Maybe the Spirit Board is more concerned with deeper issues. Either way, it's fun.

Moon True Type Font v1.0

Moon True Type Font is a unique, specialty, dingbat font. It shows the daily phases of the moon for a 28-day lunar cycle. The font contains 56 symbols in two different styles, or series. In the first, the entire moon is outlined by black circle. The full moon appears as a hollow circle and the new moon is a solid circle. In the second style, the font is intended to be used as a white image on a dark background. It shows only the illuminated surface of the moon.
