I asked my Mum if I could have a go of one of her Past Life Meditation tapes and I'd like to tell you what happened.

After you do the relaxation and deep breathing you are then told to imagine a special sanctuary, a place where you'd be perfectly happy, your ideal secret place. Mine was in the middle of a jungle. There was a pool, with a waterfall, and a lion. I swam in the pool and walked on the wet sand. I played with the lion who was very kind and gentle with me.

I found a cave behind the waterfall and went into it. I held my hand up and light shone all around it. As I looked up at the ceiling and I saw that there was a pentagram carved there. Then the light suddenly grew. I walked into it and said goodbye to the lion.

I was then in the past life part of the meditation. I was standing on stone slabs, I wasn't sure if I had sandals on or not. I might have been an Egyptian girl, but I'm not sure - I was wearing a sort of white toga. I think I was in a temple. I was looking around and there were large statues, all identical, along the walls.

Then, in the tape, I was told to go to my deathbed. I think that I died of old age because my hair was grey. There were other people around me but I don't know who they were.

Then I went to Spirit and had to think about what I had, and had not, accomplished in that life. I had an image of myself holding a new-born baby girl, then I went into the future a bit and saw us (she was about six years old), we were in a lake; I was either bathing her or swimming with her. Then I was drawing a picture of a person on a wall, which was honey coloured, I think, and made of large blocks. It seemed to be inside a building, or by an entrance because there was light coming from one side of me. I was trying to finish the drawing, but I don't think I did.

When the meditation was over I wondered if this really had been one of my past lives!
