Tom's Dream

In February (1997) I had a weird dream, but it was a happy one. It started off when I woke up in bed (in my dream) and it was all foggy and misty in the house, so I went downstairs to see what was going on. I couldn't see anyone and I walked straight into the mist. When I came out of the mist I was in the middle of a road. I could hear birds singing and it was all sunny and I said to myself "I thought it was winter?"

Suddenly I found myself starting to fly away, that is when I realised this must be a dream. I was flying quite fast. I didn't feel scared, it was fun and I was excited. Looking down below me I could see dogs and cats playing together. They were friendly and the dogs weren't trying to eat the cats! I saw a cat in the road, a car came along and stopped to let the cat cross the road. I thought it felt like a very safe place where people and animals couldn't get hurt.

Then I flew over a forest and the trees weren't bare, they had bright green leaves on and I saw flowers in full bloom. There were red roses and purple violets. I felt really happy and thought "This is a better world than ours, it's like a "Happy Land"!!" Then I woke up.
