| Israel Regardie published what is
probably his definitive work on the rituals of the Lesser Banishing
Ritual of the Pentagram and The Middle Pillar Ritual in his work
titled "The Middle Pillar". In 1980 Israel Regardie
published a small book called Ceremonial Magic, and although
this book is now out of print, the basics of this book took the
student through a graduated performance of a ritual known as
The Opening by Watchtower. It was his sincere belief, which he
stated numerous times in his published works, that those students
with determination could successfully initiate themselves into
the elemental grades by the gradual and persistent performance
of this powerful ritual, combined with the daily use of the Lesser
Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and the Middle Pillar Ritual. |
In 1995, Chic and Sandra Tabitha Cicero published their monumental
volume "Self Initiation into The Golden Dawn Tradition".
With this volume the authors take the student through the grade
rituals, step by step, using both physical ritual as well as
the visual imagination. In addition, the authors include the
basics of the knowlege lectures for each grade, but have also
expanded upon them to the point of having published a fully workable
curriculum within the Golden Dawn Tradition that is accessible
by the solitary student, or groups of students, wishing to work
within this initiatory structure.
