In Ghana, as in many African cultures, community is at the forefront. Pulling heavily on the early ideas of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongly believes that we should use African solutions to African problems, the NDC's 'Sankofa' principle. So, by using the community as the main mobilizing point we foster a closer connection to each other and solve many of the problems that have faced Ghana up to this point. A return to the solid, united community is what STD supports and is working to bring about.
