Meet Mrs Chapman, who is also the Upper School English teacher (and Upper School girls games teacher). Mrs Chapman is not very keen on photographs on herself, and I had to persuade her to allow me to take this photograph. As well as being a very good teacher, Mrs Chapman is a very nice lady, and always helpful to children and staff alike.
This photograph is of my colleague Mrs Douglas.
It was taken (like some of the other staff
photographs) on the no-uniform day we had for charity, when children
paid one pound to charity for being allowed not to wear uniform.
Staff on the other hand did wear "uniform".
The photograph is of the former Form 2 teacher Miss Cleveland, who
left at Easter 1999. Miss Cleveland was a very pleasant, accomplished
lady from New Zealand, who I got to know a little through regularly
travelling on the train with.
Our headmaster Mr
Carpenter. Without him, Manor House School would not be the happy place it is.
