DISCLAIMER
As far as I am aware, TheWhalemeat Association of Great Britain does not exist. If it does exist, it has absolutely no connection with this web-site. Nor is Dominic Sharp a member of this organisation, and the views expressed on this web-site are not his - in fact he doesn't eat meat at all. However - he rags us unmercifully about whalemeat just because we live in Norway, and seems to assume that all Norwegians are pathological whale-hunters, so we decided to get our own back.
It is however true that the whales which the Norwegians have culled are not threatened by extinction, and that the opposition to whale-fishing is based more on prejudice than on fact. I have eaten whalemeat once in my life. It was nice enough - but not brilliant. Since then I have stuck to the charred remains of pigs, sheep and cows. For some reason this is more socially acceptable.
The recipes are real. I found them on a Norwegian web-site called Aperitif.
