| History: The Committee on Amy Dering is the oldest committee in the United States government. In fact, there are no records of the Committee on Amy Dering not existing, so the existance of the committee greatly predates the existance of the United States. The Committee was formed by a synthesis of the Amy Dering Fan Club, and the Ex Boyfriends of Amy Dering Society. This historical alliance was initiated by Kevin Parker, president of the EBADS and Jim Prescott of the ADFC who realized that the two organizations shared many goals in common, including pants, defamation of the milk industry, and the eternal struggle with the Anti my Dering Conspiracy. Purpose: To deal with all issues related and unrelated to Amy Dering. Structure: The commmittee is composed of a diverse array of viewpoints, ranging from those who call for the deification of Amy Dering (e.g. Strom Thurman and the Fremd High School Scholastic Bowl Team) to advocates of the complete abolition of Amy Dering such as Eve Adams and Tiffany Sever. Political affiliation is generally to The Light Party. Meetings are called to order by the chair, which is given absolute power on all matters. Famous Events involving the Committee on Amy Dering 1841 Amy Dering v. Amy Dering The court voted 8 to 1 in favor of Amy Dering. Depending on the interpretation, this was regarded as a great victory or a tragic defeat in the cause of Amy Dering.
