Image Editors

  1. Also known as paint programs.
  2. Used to modify bit map images.
  3. Bitmap graphic files are suited for realistic images such as photographs.
  4. Image editors can be used to create special effects called morphing (smoothly blending two images so one melts into the other)
  5. Windows Paintbrush program is a low-end image editor.
  6. Other popular professional image editor programs are:
    1. Adobe Photoshop
    2. Corel Photo
    3. Macromedia xRes
