**"After this" really means after this. Maybe I can help you get your bearings, be better oriented in time, and understand Revelation a bit better. We can't pick and choose a little bit here and a little bit there in Revelation and put those events just anywhere in the schedule of end-time chronology that seems right in our head. It is true that God has put a little here and a little there throughout the Bible so the wicked would not understand and would fall back and be taken. Isa. 28:13 says, "the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept...line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken." However, God has given us the clues that are necessary to put each event in its rightful place. It just takes the indwelling Holy Spirit to guide us. To nonbelievers, it seems like so much nonsense, by God's design.
**Revelation furnishes the outline that all the Old Testament prophecies can be put into to get the chronology straight. If we don't get Revelation straight, we are adrift on the waves of our own whims.
**First of all, in Revelation, Christ stood on the pinnacle when the Rapture is "at hand" to look backward and forward through time. The Rapture is "at hand" in both the first and last chapters (1:3; 22:10). Jesus signs off with "Surely I come quickly." He comes quickly at the Rapture, and that is when he is revealed to the church. The Rapture is "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" (1:1). Like our movies, a Preview of coming attractions is given first. John is caught up to Heaven and sees Christ as he will appear at the Rapture. The churches are all around him and the star performers are still in his right hand. He has just caught them up. The first thing Christ says after the Rapture is "I am Alpha AND Omega, the beginning (YHVH, king of Israel, LORD of the Old Testament) AND the ending (YHVH of hosts, Isa. 44:6, Lord of the New Testament), saith the Lord, which is (at the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and which is to come (at the Second Advent), the Almighty."
**In Rev. 1:19, John is told to "Write the things which thou hast seen (things before the Rapture), and the things which are (at the Rapture), and the things which shall be hereafter" ("hereafter" the Rapture). Rev. 4:1 says, "behold, A DOOR WAS OPENED IN HEAVEN: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a TRUMPET talking with me; which said, COME UP HITHER, and I will shew thee things which must be HEREAFTER." This is the Pre-Trib Rapture. Hereafter is the 70th week of Daniel/ the 7-year Tribulation that follows the Pre-Trib Rapture. It starts when the 1st seal on the Title Deed of the Earth is broken.
**We are shown what happens when Christ says, "COME UP HITHER," because Moses and Elijah "ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN" when they heard Christ's "great voice from heaven saying unto them, COME UP HITHER" in Rev. 11:12. These 2 witnesses prophesy during the first 1260 days of the 7-year Tribulation (11:3).
**The basic framework of Revelation seems to be built using 3 circle clocks, each made up of 6 small circles arranged around a central 7th small circle, and all 7 are within a larger circle perimeter.
1. Draw your first circle clock big, covering most of a sheet of paper. Label each circle in the outer ring as seals 1 through 6. The center circle is seal # 7, but do not label it yet.
2. Your 2nd circle clock is identical to the 1st one, but small enough to fit in the center circle, the 7th seal. Label each of this outer ring of circles as trumpets 1 through 6. The center circle is trumpet # 7, but don't label it yet.
3. Your 3rd circle clock is identical to the others, but small enough to fit in the center 7th trumpet circle. Label each of this outer ring of circles as vials of God's wrath 1 through 6. Label the center circle the 7th vial.
Now you can label the 7th seal and the 7th trumpet wherever you have room and draw a line to its circle.
**These circle clocks all fit within the 70th week of years of Daniel 9:27, so label your outermost circle The 70th Week of Daniel/The Tribulation. This 7-years is the trial that is to come upon the whole world in Rev. 3:10 and the 5th cycle of discipline for Israel. In Lev. 26:27,28, the Lord said, "if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven TIMES for your sins." A TIME is a year (Rev. 12:6,14), so this is the 7-year Tribulation. The last half of the 7 years is the "GREAT TRIBULATION" (Rev. 7:14).
**The 1st Rapture takes place before the 1st seal is broken on the little book that is the Title Deed to the Earth. John is one of the elders seen sitting on their thrones right after he is caught up to Heaven (4:4). The other elders are the other 11 apostles and the 12 patriarchs of the 12 tribes of Israel. All 24 elders are caught up as John is caught up. So are the saints seen before Christ in 5:9. All the elders are of one nation, Israel. The saints are "out of EVERY kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation." They are the wise virgins that go with the Bridegroom when he says, "Come up hither."
**After this Rapture, the 1st seal is broken. There are 7 seals and the Tribulation is 7 years. The seals are broken about 1 per year until the Great Tribulation is shortened. At that time, the 6th seal is opened on the last day of this age, and the 7th seal is opened the next day, the first day of the millennial Day of the Lord.
**Out of the 7th seal come the 7 trumpet judgments. They are not sounded by God, but by angels. Out of the 7th trumpet judgment comes the 7 vials that fill up the wrath of God on unbelievers on Earth.
**"God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Thess. 5:9). Since the foolish virgins were cut off at the Pre-Trib Rapture, they must be caught up before the Wrath of God falls on the unbelievers left on Earth. They are caught up with the Tribulation saints in the Pre-Wrath Rapture before the asteroid of Rev. 8:8 impacts the Mediterranean Sea at noon on the 1st day of the Millennium.
**Zeph. 2:2-5 says, "before the day of the LORD's anger (1st day of the Millennium) come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid (i.e., caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Wrath Rapture) in the day of the LORD's anger (1st day of the Millennium). For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the NOON day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. WOE unto the inhabitants of the sea coast."
**These raptured ones are the Tribulation saints that come out of the Great Tribulation in Rev. 7:14. This time, those raptured saints include all believers left on Earth, the 144,000 of Israel plus the "great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations" of Rev. 7:9.
**As soon as the Tribulation saints are safely in Heaven, the 7th seal is broken, and the 7 trumpet judgments for nonbelievers left on Earth hit Earth. The two trumps of GOD are past. They are to call the saints up to Heaven in the 2 Raptures. These trumpet judgments are sounded by ANGELS, not by God. They are judgment on unbelievers.
**The believers are in Heaven receiving their rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ at the same time the unbelievers on Earth are getting their just rewards for their unbelief. Rev. 11:17,18 says, "We give thee thanks, O LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, which art, and wast, and art to come (the Second Advent is still 7 months future, Eze. 39:12,13); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. the nations were angry (the united nations' army led by Gog is attacking Israel), and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou SHOULDEST GIVE REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and SHOULDEST DESTROY them which destroy the earth."
**Jesus Christ is the "LORD GOD ALMIGHTY." In Heaven, he has been given his kingdom on the first day of the Millennium, but his 2nd coming to Earth is still 7 months in the future. The 7 trumpet judgments sound on Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets. Christ returns on the following Nisan 1, the first day of the Jewish Regnal Year and Sacred Year.
**Hos. 6:3 says, "the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." The former rain, his First Advent, is on Tishri 1. The latter rain, his Second Advent, is on Nisan 1.
**Nisan 1 is set in Eze. 29:17: "first month, in the first day of the month." This is Nisan 1 (Eze. 45:18,21). Then v. 21 says, "In that day (Nisan 1) will I cause the horn (king) of the house of Israel (Christ) to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth (Logos, Word) in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."
**In between that Tishri 1 and Nisan 1, there are 7 months for Israel to bury the dead so the Lord can return in glory (Eze. 39:12,13). Therefore, that year has to be a Jewish Leap Year with Adar II, the 13th month. I think it will be the Jewish Leap Year 5768. Tishri 1, 5768 is Sept. 13, 2007. Nisan 1 is Apr. 6, 2008, the anniversary of the Crucifixion on our calendar.
###yes. there are 7 trumps...but there is no "rapture" mentioned for the first trump.
***Not one believer will have the 7 trumpet judgment hit him. Those trumpets are sounded by angels, not by God.
**The FIRST TRUMP OF GOD is found in 1 Thess. 4:16. It says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP (harpazo) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
###what would lead you to believe this trump is the first trump?
***It has no number. When it sounds, there is no reason to say it is the first, it is not the last. The second Rapture is at the "LAST TRUMP" OF GOD, not the 7th trumpet judgment sounded by an ANGEL.
***The Jews say that the FIRST TRUMP sounds on Pentecost, the LAST TRUMP sounds on the Feast of Trumpets, and the GREAT TRUMP sounds on the Day of Atonement. That sounds ok to me. I think the first trump is the first Rapture on Pentecost, the last trump is the last Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets. The first trumpet of the Bible was sounded by God at Mt. Sinai around Pentecost. That fits Song of Sol. 10-14 saying, "RISE UP, my love, my fair one, and COME AWAY" in the spring, when there are green figs and firstripe grapes.
***Pentecost is in the spring. Isa. 18:3-6 says, "ALL YE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD, AND DWELLERS ON THE EARTH, SEE YE, when he lifteth up an ensign (flag of the One World Government) on the mountains (nations); and WHEN HE (THE LORD) BLOWETH A TRUMPET, HEAR YE. For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider (nabat, SEE) IN MY DWELLING PLACE (HEAVEN) like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of HARVEST. For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both CUT OFF the sprigs (zalzal, tremulous, by redup.from zalal, to be loose morally, worthless, vile) with pruning hooks, and TAKE AWAY and CUT DOWN the branches (i.e., the foolish virgins that have no fruit). THEY SHALL BE LEFT together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth (the Beast and False Prophet): and the fowls shall SUMMER upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall WINTER upon them." In other words, the first Rapture catches up the wise virgins to Heaven in the spring.
###Nu. 10:1-4...TWO TRUMPETS. yes but we arent dealing with two trumps in revelation but 7. this is an interesting comparison but being this was only about two and two only it doesnt appear to be related to the 7 of the end times.
***They aren't related at all. The 7 trumpet judgments have nothing to do with the 2 Raptures. We are not appointed to wrath. The 2 trumps at the 2 Raptures are sounded by God. The seven trumpet judgments are sounded by angels. They are judgment on the unbelievers left on Earth after the 2nd Rapture takes every believer off the Earth. After the Rapture of the Tribulation saints, the 2 asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10 will impact Earth and destroy civilization as we know it. Every wall will fall in the worldwide earthquake (Eze. 38:20; Rev. 16:18).
###the first trump is quite some time before the tribulation. i dont know what you teach on it but most teach something along the lines of the parable of the figtree happening in 1948 and then the trumps began. would seem premature to rapture out certain people so far in advance of the trib, perhaps before they were even born?
***The 7 trumpet judgments all hit Earth on one day. I think they will follow the Pre-Wrath Rapture on Tishri 1, 5768, Sept. 13, 2007. That is the 2300th day of the Tribulation (Dan. 8:13,14). I expect it to be the 1st day of the millennial Day of the Lord. We are still here now, therefore the Pre-Trib Rapture has not happened yet. I am hoping for the Pre-Trib Rapture next Pentecost, Sivan 6,7, 5761, May 28, 29, 2001.
###Rev. 4:1...the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither. this is not one of the seven trumps sounding. it is a voice that sounded like a trumpet...meaning it was a loud voice.
***It is not one of the 7 trumpets. They sound on the 2300th day of the Tribulation. This is before the Tribulation begins, before Christ is even given the little book, the Title Deed of the Earth, with its 7 seals. This is Christ saying, "Come up hither." It says, "as it were of a trumpet talking with me." The words "like" and "as" are symbolic language. This is not really a trumpet, but the trumpet voice of Christ.
***In the Preview of the Rapture in Rev. 1:9-11, it says, "I John...was in the isle that is called Patmos (meaning mortal), for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was (lit., became) in the Spirit (i.e., was raptured to Heaven) on the Lord's day ('one of the [2] days of the Son of man,' Lu. 17:22), and heard behind me a great VOICE, AS OF A TRUMPET, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last" (i.e., this is Christ). At the First Advent, he spoke to 5000 people without a mike or amplifier and was heard by all. No human being could do that.
***I don't know if the trump of God is literal or symbolic, but it sounds at the Raptures. I Thess. 4:16,17 says of the 1st Rapture, "the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
***The first trump seems to be on Pentecost. Israel was at Sinai near Pentecost. There was a thick cloud upon the mount, and THE VOICE OF THE TRUMPET EXCEEDING LOUD....when the VOICE OF THE TRUMPET SOUNDED LONG, AND WAXED LOUDER AND LOUDER, Moses spake, and GOD ANSWERED HIM BY A VOICE" (Ex. 19:16,19).
***At the 2nd Rapture, Zech. 9:14 says, "the LORD shall be seen over them (this is the Sign of the Son of Man, Mt. 24:30; Rev. 6:14f), and his arrow (symbol of the asteroid, also called the 'sword of the Lord,' Ju. 7:18; Jer. 12:12, and the 'flaming sword,' Gen. 3:24) shall go forth as the lightning: and THE LORD GOD SHALL BLOW THE TRUMPET, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south." The Tribulation saints are saved so as by fire just before the 7 trumpet judgments hit Earth with the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10.
###the first trump doesnt sound until after the 7 seals are opened...that is when the 7 trumps are passed out.
***That is correct. The 7 trumpet judgments can't hit unbelievers on the Earth until the Tribulation saints are caught up in the Pre-Wrath Rapture. The trump of God is different from the trumpet judgments sounded by angels.
###Revelation 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. i see nothing about a rapture here. sort of the opposite actually.
***You are right. Both Rapture have already taken all believers off the Earth. Then the 7 trumpet judgments hit Earth.
***That group of saints is seen in Heaven in Rev. 5:9 before the 1st seal is broken in Rev. 6.
###right. so how is it these "raptured" saints from the first trumpet are in heaven before any of the trumps have sounded?
***The 2 trumps of God are not the same as the 7 trumpet judgments. Those 7 are sounded by angels.
***Rev. 5:9 says, "prayers of saints. And they (the saints) sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood OUT OF EVERY KINDRED, AND TONGUE, AND PEOPLE, AND NATION."
###actually the 24 elders sing that song, the only mention of saints is the prayers of the saints in these golden vials.
***The elders are all of Israel. They are the Representatives of the entire body of Pre-Trib saints (who are out of all nations) in the government of God, just as the priests on duty at the temple represented all the priests.
###Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. here we see the saints except they are not raptured anywhere.
***These are the Tribulation saints, and the foolish Laodicean virgins are among them. They will not be caught up to Heaven until the Pre-Wrath Rapture on the 2300th day of the Tribulation.
***The "last trump" is heard in I Cor. 15:51,52. Those saints are seen in Heaven in Rev. 7:9,14, before the 7 trumpet judgments begin to hit Earth after the 7th seal is broken in Rev. 8.
###two things: Rev. 7:14 I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. firstly these "saints" have clearly gone through the tribulation rather than being taken to heaven before it
***That's right. These are the ones caught up in the 2nd Rapture. They are caught up out of the Great Tribulation on the 2300th day (Dan. 8:13,14) of the Tribulation.
###and this part of the chapter is a glimpse of the eternity and thats why they are in heaven.
***This chapter does not tell us about eternity future. These are caught up to Heaven in the Pre-Wrath Rapture.
***These are they which CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Some of these were the foolish virgins left behind at the 1st Rapture.
###i agree they are the foolish virgins who found salvation during the millenium but this idea of a first rapture is still on shaky ground so far.
***The foolish virgins are among these, but they are nothing like the whole multitude which is so great that no man can number them. They are not saved during the Millennium, but are saved before the 1st Rapture. Their lamps are lit then, but sputtering. They just get left behind because they do not have enough oil of the Holy Spirit in their vessels (bodies). They did not confess their sins so God could cleanse them of all unrighteousness, as per I John 1:9.
***Lu. 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (2300 days of the Tribulation) with the unbelievers." Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion (2300 days of the Tribulation) with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH."
###when this happens, and the Lord comes at this unknown hour...that is his 7th trump return which means this "portion" cant represent the trib. the protion would be his share of the wrath of god, the punishment
###1371 dichotomeo...cut sunder...to cut into two parts...of the cruel method of punishment used by the Hebrews and others of cutting one in two...
###i think this means more than just to cut someone off reminds me of the bloodbath in rev 19...thats the portion received by the wicked
***Jesus said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE (ekpheugo, to vanish from) all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
###yes but to escape the snare that would capture the world. Luke 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. this is a spiritual snare and so the escape would be of the same nature...not a literal escape.
***The ones that escape "ALL THESE THINGS" are the wise Philadelphian virgins. They are the Bride of Christ that go with the Bridegroom in the parable of the 10 virgins.
###not so. philly is very much a part of the tribulation.
***Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
###candlesticks represent churches, and surely philly and smyrna are those two churches.
***Mt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
###in this chapter Christ tells of the signs of His return and the end...there is only one return mentioned, because there is only one. this is the one time there is a gathering which some could call a "rapture" thanks
We have 4 gospels. Many times, we have more than one passage on similar subjects. By comparing them, we can learn more than from just reading one.
There is a similar account in Mt. 25:14-30, where the Lord gave talents. It is part of the Olivet Discourse Jesus delivered on Tuesday, the day the fig tree was found dried up, and follows the parable of the wise and foolish virgins, where the foolish are left behind when the Bridegroom comes.
Both the parable of the 10 virgins and the giving of the talents teach that the foolish and UNPROFITABLE servants will be left behind at the Pre-Trib Rapture and are bookended by verses about weeping and gnashing of teeth. Mt. 24:48-51 says, "if that EVIL SERVANT shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion (2300 days of the Tribulation, Dan. 8:13,14) with the hypocrites (pretenders, Lu. 12:46 has unbelievers): there shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH." The other bookend is in Mt. 25:30. It says, "cast ye the UNPROFITABLE servant into outer darkness: there shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH." The unprofitable servants are not of the Bride group, either. He is cast outside Heaven's door at the time of the 1st Rapture. This weeping and gnashing of teeth is also found when the man without a wedding garment is cast outside the door at the wedding feast. Mt. 22:13,14 says, "Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH. For many are called, but FEW ARE CHOSEN." We need to make sure we are chosen to be part of the Bride of Christ.
The parable of the ten pounds in Lu. 19:11-27 was given when Jesus was nigh unto Jerusalem, probably at Jericho, before presenting himself as king on Palm Sunday. He gave the parable "because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear" (v. 11). Jesus needed to tell them that he was to go to Heaven ("a far country") to receive his kingdom (Dan. 7:14) and then to return later on, actually 7 months later (Dan. 8:13,14). When he left, he gave gifts to his servants for 2 main reasons, to spread the gospel and to test disciples. He said they were to "Occupy till I come." This covers all believers from that day to this. We are given gifts and are expected to use them, not hide them.
Lu. 19:14 and 27 bookend the rest. Verse 14 says, "But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will NOT have this man to REIGN over us." Verse 27 says, "But those mine enemies, which would NOT that I should REIGN over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." Verse 14 applied to that present generation that was to be punished in 70 AD, because they refused Jesus as king. Verse 15 skips to the Second Advent. It says, "when he was RETURNED (Nisan 1 in a Jewish Leap Year), having received the kingdom (7 months before, on Tishri 1), then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading."
Following the account of giving the talents, Mt. 25:31-46 also skips to the Second Coming and helps explain the account in Luke. Mt. 25:32 says, "before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats." This is the Judgment of the Nations. I think it is right after the full 7 years of the Tribulation are complete. That is when dominion is taken away from Satan and Armageddon begins. Judgment given, "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (v. 41). Verse 46 says, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Like Solomon's kingdom, the kingdom of the greater Son of David will be purged soon after it begins.
Lu. 19:23-27 depicts the Judgment of the Nations too. It says, "Wherefore then gavest not thou my money (silver) into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury (in Old English, it was interest, not excessive)? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds (that is where he got the highest return on his money). (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But (furthermore) those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." The unprofitable servants are stripped of what they have, but the enemies are slain. Agape
