6-1-01 - The Palestinian Authority is to get 60m euros (Ģ37m) emergency aid to stave off economic collapse as the European Union steps up efforts to play a role in the search for Middle East peace.
In an agreement signed with the European commission yesterday the Palestinians agreed to a strictly controlled austerity budget in return for direct aid to pay salaries and keep basic services going.
Sharansky said that Sharon's decision to unilaterally call a cease-fire was genuine in that he hoped that Arafat would take him up on the offer.
At the same time, it was also meant to show both the world and Israelis who is to blame for the violence.
As to whether the cease-fire was meant to prepare the nation for war, Sharansky said: "I think it was one of two things. Either Arafat would go this route [of the cease-fire], which would be great. Or he would not, and at least we could say that we did everything we could."
When I found out about another calendar, constructed by the dark moon (not the first sliver being visible), I emailed the man and asked if copies of the calendar up to 5769 were available. I got no answer. Maybe he hadn't constructed it forward that far.
Some think Pentecost has to be on Sivan 6/7, May 28,29 in 2001. Others think it has to be on Sunday, hence June 3.
It looks like things are progressing, and I can see the Pope and the UN getting into this very soon. The Pope has already sent an envoy with a letter to Arafat and one to Sharon. In Rev. 13:5, it seems that the Pope will be given power to "continue forty and two months." That would be the first 1260 days of the Tribulation that the 2 witnesses prophesy (Rev. 11:3). It makes sense to me that Moses and Elijah would come back with Christ when he comes for his Bride at the Pre-Trib Rapture. Satan is "cast out INTO the earth" (Rev. 12:9) Mid-Trib. "And when they (the 2 witnesses) shall have finished their testimony (after the 1260 days), the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit (Satan) shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them" (Rev. 11:7). Satan will inhabit the False Prophet Mid-Trib to accomplish this terrible deed.
If the frail 81-year-old Pope who had a deadly wound and recovered could be the Beast of Rev. 13:3-10 and the one riding the white horse as a prince of peace as the first seal is broken in Rev. 6:1, maybe he is given "power," (exousia, strength, ability, physical and mental power, regal authority, a crown ) to continue 42 months. His "power" and the 42 months are both mentioned in Rev. 13:5. In v. 6, the Rapture has happened, for the Beast blasphemes "them that dwell in heaven." The other things, war against the Tribulation saints, and having power over all nations, and probably religions, may not have to be at the beginning of the Tribulation. They can be between the Rapture and the coming of the False Prophet in Rev. 13:11. One reason the Pope gets into the peace process seems to be in v. 4, "who is able to make war with him?"
In Rev. 6:2, "a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering (nikao, to overcome, prevail, get the victory), (over whom, Israel?) and to conquer (nikao)" (whom, the Palestinians?)
The False Prophet confirms the covenant as the 70th week of Dan. 9:27 begins. Let's keep watching the news as things develop. It doesn't seem to be far away now.

Ed is ok now, but he had a TIA (transient ischemic attack, little stroke) yesterday. It lasted about half an hour. We went to Urgent Care, and it went away enroute. His left side was effected, face, mouth and arm the most. The Dr. said, "Thank God you are ok now." I said that I prayed for him as I opened all the doors to the car to let the heat out before Dave got Ed to the car. The Dr. said, "Good, I'll pray for him too." Bless his heart. Agape

Then back on the Editorial page(A17)..there is an article by Jackie Mason and Raoul Felder: "...Recently the pope made a visit to Damascus to repair wounds going back to 1204...In his welcoming remarks to the pope, Syria's new president Bashar al-Assad, used this as an opportunity for a venomous anti-Semitic tirade, including the old lie of blood libel.
The pope in turn, ignored Mr. Assad's remarks and instead spoke in general terms of the need for peace in the Middle East and accommodation among theworld's religions...The pope is 81 years old and in obviously frailhealth. ...The pope by word and deed, has done more to eradicate anti-Semitism than perhaps any other single individual in our time.

"It's clear that the continuation of the terrorism and the restraint cannot continue for much longer, not more than a few days," Israeli President Moshe Katsav told state-owned Israel Radio on Friday.
The plan presented by National Infrastructure Minister Avigdor Lieberman would launch an Israeli military invasion of at least six major cities in the West Bank and another four in the Gaza Strip, Middle East Newsline reported. Israeli troops would be given at least two days to destroy Palestinian military installations, weapons factories and arresting leaders of the Palestinian insurgency.
The Israeli capture of these cities would be brief, according to the plan. The West Bank would then be divided into a series of provinces administered separately by Palestinians. Israel would then discuss with new Palestinians leaders such issues as self-rule.
"We have to go into Area A [PA territory] and destroy the entire military infrastructure," Lieberman said.
Israeli officials said the military has drawn up similar plans and they are now being reviewed by Sharon. The officials said Sharon is expected to delay any Israeli attack until after he returns from his European tour, which begins on Sunday. The prime minister is scheduled to fly to Berlin, Brussels and Paris....
U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell telephoned PA Chairman Yasser Arafat and reiterated the U.S. demand to end the eight-month-old war against Israel.
(Arafat:) "We have exerted and we will now exert our utmost efforts to stop the bloodshed of our people and the Israeli people and to do all that is needed to achieve an immediate and unconditional, real and effective cease-fire...to go back to the negotiation table and to the implementation of the Mitchell report and the Egyptian-Jordanian initiative"....
Israeli Cabinet ministers dismissed the offer, saying they would not take it seriously unless Arafat arrested Islamic militants and reined in his security forces.
A senior Israeli diplomatic source said the Palestinian leader had only "a few hours" to prove his cease-fire pledge was serious....

After ten days of a unilateral ceasefire on the part of Israel, we can now see who is to blame for conflict in the Middle East. Arafat destroys through his "peace" declarations.

World, Israeli leaders express horror at suicide bombing
JERUSALEM, June 2 (AFP)...UN Secretary General Kofi Annan expressed horror, saying the bombing underlined the urgency of ending the violence in the Middle East.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Annan said he was "horrified by the suicide bombing that occurred in Tel Aviv."
He "condemns this indiscriminate terrorist attack in the strongest possible terms," the statement said.
"This horrible event underlines the urgency of breaking the cycle of violence," it added.
In April, the larger of the 2 meteors roared into the atmosphere, releasing the explosive power of 6,000 to 8,000 tons of TNT. The scientists said it was probably about as big as a Volkswagen Beetle and came down in the Pacific several hundred miles off the coast of the Mexican State of Baja California Norte. The smaller but also impressive meteor fell last August and was about 6 feet in diameter, with about half the explosive power. It came apart over the Pacific off Acapulco.
'The April 23rd event got down to 28 km, so it's fairly tough stuff,' said Doug ReVelle, a researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. In other words, it survived the heat and pressure of entering the atmosphere and came within 28 kilometers of the Earth's surface before it blew apart. Both meteors were probably made of relatively sturdy rock, said ReVelle....

Thanks for your kind words. I don't really care if I have a mansion or not, I just want to be there with the Lord. This world is so full of evil, something has to pop. I want off of this spinning globe before it gets hit with an asteroid and knocked upside down. Isa. 24:1 says, "Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it UPSIDE DOWN, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof."
Job 18:4,5,12-15 says, "SHALL THE ROCK (i.e., the binary asteroid of Rev. 8:8,10) BE REMOVED OUT OF HIS PLACE? YEA, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine....destruction shall be ready at his side. It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death (Jesus Christ) shall devour his strength. Last night 1. June 3.21 am I felt again a strong presense of a Force. I havenīt checked yet, but it happened now second or more likely third time. The first occurence is in old P/Cīs (June -99) Like then, also now I thought the Rapture is at hand, but it wasnīt. It just could be that this has been happening at exactly same time each year. Anyway I do remember that the first time was also after Pentecost ( as you count it ) and early in the morning. I donīt know if this means anything, but the experience has been very strong every time. Agape
It isn't just new converts that we should think about, but believers ('that have obtained like precious faith with us,' II Peter 1:1) that have not "come to repentance." II Peter 3:9 (Weymouth) says, "The Lord is not slow in fulfilling His promise, in the sense in which some men speak of slowness. But He bears patiently with YOU ('beloved,' v. 8), His desire being that no one should perish (apollumi, perish, lose) but that all should come to repentance (metanoia, a change of mind, as it appears to one who repents, of a purpose he has formed or of something he has done."
II Peter 3:8,9 (KJV) says, "BELOVED, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to US-ward, not willing that any should perish (or lose), but that all should come to repentance.
Believers do need to repent. Although there are some that don't think so, I believe what Jesus says to us when the Rapture is "at hand." He don't make any mistakes. In Rev. 2:5, Jesus says to the ekklesia (called out ones), "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and REPENT, and do the first works; OR ELSE I WILL COME UNTO THEE QUICKLY, AND WILL REMOVE THY CANDLESTICK OUT OF HIS PLACE (Heaven, Rev. 1:13), EXCEPT THOU REPENT."
In Rev. 2:16, Jesus says to believer priests, "Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them (the Nicolaitans, those that set up the Pontifex Maximus, Cardinals and priests over the so-called laity) with the sword of my mouth." This "sharp twoedged sword" of Rev. 1:16, is to cut off the unrepentant lukewarm foolish virgins at the Pre-Trib Rapture. Luke 12:46 says, "The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (2300 days, Dan. 8:13,14) with the UNBELIEVERS" (in the Tribulation). Mt. 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
In Rev. 3:3, Jesus says, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and REPENT. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." He told the Laodiceans in Rev. 3:19, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and REPENT."

I didn't remember that it was after Pentecost. Thanks for reminding me. Maybe you are being shown that the Rapture is a bit after Pentecost. The Talmudic Calendar can be off, but should be fairly close, especially since there was "abib" barley at the Feast of Firstfruits this year. The time of the firstripe grapes seems like it would be a likely time. We should know soon.
We are very near the same latitude as Israel. Last year, grapes a bit south of us in Temecula, CA, were late. I think they started producing in August. The unusual weather had delayed their ripening. If I remember right, the delay was 3 weeks. I haven't heard this year. I have been too intent on the news coming out of Israel to pay attention to local grapes.

Zeph. 2:5-7 says, "Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast...there shall be no inhabitant. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah." This is from the Day of God's Wrath and onward, not before, or even at the beginning of the Tribulation.
This is when the asteroid of Rev. 8:8 impacts the Mediterranean Sea on the Day of God's Wrath. Agape
