Here you will feel accepted, comfortable, and loved. You and your children will discover life affirming relationships with God and others. You will hear relevant messages with food for thought -- not guilt. To us, you are more important than doctrine. | ||||||||||||||||||
The United Christian Church is a fellowship formed by a union of congregations from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ. We maintain denominational ties with both organizations. We started as two separate congregations in the late 1960's and survived the area's economic downturn of that period in a series of small steps, forming a church as we know it today. The process of merging the beliefs and traditions of two Protestant denominations has been enlightening and has made us even more ready to accept all who wish to join us in our religious journey. Our minister of the past seven years played an instrumental part in building the sanctuary you see in the pictures on this web site; however, he retired in June 99. Our New pastor, Rev Ken Colman joined us on the first Sunday of Advent 1999. We look forward to the exciting times and new programs ahead of us. |
