- March 1523
- Thomas Muntzer arrived in Allstedt, a small town about 40 miles south of Magdeburg. He soon married and created the first liturgy in the German language.
- 5 April 1523
- Thomas Muntzer became the pastor of St. John's Church.
1524
- 24 March 1524
- A group of Thomas Muntzer's followers went to nearby Mallerbach and burned the Mallerbach chapel. The chapel, which belonged to a convent of Cistercian nuns in Naundorf, contained an image of the Virgin Mary that was reputed to have miraculous powers. Muntzer was present at the burning and later defended the action to the authorities.

- Thomas Muntzer preached his famous Sermon before the Princes (on the 2nd chapter of Daniel) at the Allstedt Castle.
- 7 August 1524
- Thomas Muntzer fell out of favor with the city council and was compelled to leave town. He made his exit by climbing over the city wall in the middle of the night. A week later he was in Muhlhausen.
- October 1524
- Thomas Muntzer was driven out of town. He headed for Nuremberg, with his accomplice Henry Pfeiffer.
