My grandmother's name was Mary Margaret Landrigan. She was a native of Prince Edward Island, Canada, where she was born on 23 March, 1878. Both of her parents, James P. Landrigan (1851) and Mary Ann Power (abt. 1852) were also born on Prince Edward Island. From here on, the Landrigan/Power roots are still a work in progress. Mary Power's parents, John and Mary Power--according to the information provided on the 1881 PEI Census--hailed from Ireland. James Landrigan was the son of John Landrigan and Catherine McDonald. But where were they born? On the 1910 NY Census, James' parents are said to have both been born in Canada. On the 1920 Census, John Landrigan is said to have hailed from Ireland and Catherine from PEI.
