Simulation Training

Multimedia technology provides simulation training in various fields. A Canadian software developer, Interactive Image Technologies, produces an engineering CD-ROM called Electronics Workbench. This product is a circuit simulation tool with schematic editing and other training capabilities. The application allows the learner to conduct a circuit analysis using virtual test instruments. A product like Electronics Workbench is great because learners develop skills without the possibility of damaging expensive equipment.

Faculty members at Ohio State University are also developing multimedia applications to help students learn difficult engineering and architectural concepts.
