782. Col. Isaac Snedeker Buckalew. Born on 21 September 1830. Isaac Snedeker died on 24 November 1884; he was 54. Buried on 26 November 1884 in Fernwood Cem., Jamesburg, NJ. Nickname: Buckelew.

Served in Union Army, Civil War.

On 11 October 1855 when Isaac Snedeker was 25, he married Sarah Matilda Combs. Born on 10 June 1837. Sarah Matilda died on 4 December 1921; she was 84. Buried on 6 December 1921 in Fernwood Cem., Jamesburg, NJ.

   The Scott  Family of Shrewsbury, NJ. being the descendants of William Scott and Abigail Tilton Warner.     Catherine E. Crawford, born April 5, 1837 at Jamesburg, NJ. married John D. Buckelew, sheriff of Middlesex County and U.S. Consul to Stettin, Germany. Their later home was at Jamesburg, NJ.  No issue.  

On 14 October 1863 when John Dunn was 31, he married Catherine Elizabeth Crawford. Born on 5 April 1837 in Jamesburg, NJ. Catherine Elizabeth died on 16 April 1893; she was 56. Buried on 18 April 1893 in Fernwood Cem., Jamesburg, NJ.

784. Margaret Ann Buckalew. Born on 18 February 1834. Margaret Ann died on 18 April 1858; she was 24. Nickname: Buckelew.

On 1 May 1856 when Margaret Ann was 22, she married Rev. James Halstead Carroll.

Other sources give his name as Joseph.

785. Frederick Lemuel Buckalew. Born on 28 January 1836. Frederick Lemuel died on 9 March 1901; he was 65. Buried on 11 March 1901 in Fernwood Cem., Jamesburg, NJ.

" Frederic Samuel, son of James Buckelew and Mary C., christened 16 Apr 1843 in the Second Presbyterian Church, Cranbury. (I think this is the Frederick Leumuel listed on the genealogy which you sent to me of James Buckelew, for whom the town of Jamesburg is named." 9 Jan 1987 Ltr from Janet T. Riemer to Edna B. Taylor.

Mil. Svc.:: Served with Union Army and was wounded in the Civil War.

On 27 October 1869 when Frederick Lemuel was 33, he married Ellen Sophia Cannon, daughter of William Cannon & Margaret Ann Laws, in Bridgeville, DEL. Born in 1845 in Sussex, DEL. Buried on 20 January 1905 in Fernwood Cem., Jamesburg, NJ.

They had the following children:

786. Mary Gertrude Buckalew. Born on 12 November 1838.

Lived in New Haven, NJ or Conn. ?

On 22 October 1862 when Mary Gertrude was 23, she married George H. Townsend.

787. Ida Louise Buckalew. Born on 14 March 1841. Buried on 30 November 1848 in Fernwood Cem., Jamesburg, NJ.
