On 13 October 1875 when William Patrick (Watts) was 25, he married Mary E. Fitts, in Washington Co., TX. Born on 8 May 1859 in Madison Co., AL. Mary E. died in Falls Co., TX, on 10 July 1940; she was 81.

They had the following children:
