Not mentioned in his father's will in 1922. Probably predeceased his father.

3300. Albert Henry Buckalew. Born on 6 September 1866 in New Brunswick, NJ. Albert Henry died in Belmar, NJ, in November 1938; he was 72. Occupation: Electrician in NJ.

"Lived in New Jersey, mostly in Bellmar, NJ."

"Lived in Newark, NJ for many years... After he retired, they built a home in Denville, NJ, and then after living there for perhaps 15 years, they moved to an apartment in Belmar, on the property of Uncle Roy (His brother, Spafford LeRoy Buckelew)"

"...I have an enormous amount of information on Albert
Henry Buckelew such as he invented the electric
starter engine for cars so a crank was no longer
needed and sold that patent to Ford for $400. He also
worked in Thomas Edison's workshop with Mr. Electric
himself..."

"...in addition, he invented the pop-up toaster, and the automatic control of the elevator."

Mil. Svc.:: From Dana Buckelew: "I've been told he (Albert Henry Buckelew) worked on wiring the first submarines that used electricity. We have his watertight seaman's chest, but alas, none of his old tools, which would be quite interesting by now."

Albert Henry married Katherine Maria Croman. Born on 6 November 1869. Katherine Maria died in Morristown, NJ, in May 1942; she was 72.
