2000, March 4. In letter to Les Buckalew, John William Buckelew --10 Tiffany Dr.; East Hanover, NJ 07936-- wrote: "My father William E. Buckelew and Uncle Frank B. Buckelew owned this property ("Old Buckelew Farm, Georges Road; North Brunswick; Middlesex Co., NJ"--Parenthesis mine. LTB) and were raised there by their parents and grandmother, after their parents died. When their grandmother died they were afraid of being put in a home for orphans and they ran away to Jersey City... The property was tafken over by squatters who were very knowledgeable about such matters, paid the taxes the required number of years, then got in touch with my parents and requested that they sign over the title. A small amount of cash was involved I believe. I was at the meeting, on the farm, with my father, uncle and a lawyer and know this for a fact. I wasn't old enough to remember the farm or where it was located, except it was in Dean's Station. At the present time we are waiting for a reply from the Middlesex court house concerning the farm, who owns it, and who the squatters were. It is designated as historical site. Other names such as Mill Pond Park (Davidson) appear in the family history."
