9831. Floyd Elmer Buckalew , Jr. Born on 18 February 1946 in Forsyth, Rosebud Co., MT. Floyd Elmer died in Deaconess Hosp., Billings, Yellowstone Co., MT, on 6 April 2002; he was 56.

Floyd Buckalew Jr., 56, of Newburgh, Ind., died April 6, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings of complications following surgery.

He was born Feb 18, 1946, in Forsyth, the son of the late Floyd Sr. and Ruth Buckalew. He attended schools in Glendive before moving to Billings and graduating from Billings Senior High School. He then joined the Air Force where he served in Japan.

Mr. Buckalew married Helen Paulette Straw on Dec. 6, 1993. He graduated from Eastern Montana College and they made their home in Billings.

They later moved to Newburgh. He retired two years ago and was a member of Boonvile Country Club.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberly Smith of Newburgh; a son, Steve Buckalew of Newburgh; mother, Ruth Buckalew of Billings; two sisters, Dolly of Washington and Betty of Roundup; two brothers; George of Colstrip and Mike of Billings; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Interment was planned later in Indiana. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary in Billings has charge of arrangements.

On 12 February 1968 when Floyd Elmer was 21, he married Helen Paulette Straw.
