HEALING TOUCH
THE CONTROVERSY
Biological Energy is defined as energy that is radiated by or to a living body, Human, Animal or Plant.
The idea is, of course, controversial.
Recently the AMA gleefully reported that a young girl, of ten or twelve, had "proved" that "Healing Touch" did not exist.
Her "experiment" consisted of a cardboard shield behind which a "Healer" would sit, with hands thrust through holes in the shield.
The concept was to prove or disapprove the claim by "Healers" that they could feel "Bio-energy" radiating from another person.
The results from the young girls experiment was no better than would have occured by random chance.
This was hailed by skeptics as "proof" that such treatment was unfounded.
There is a glaring error in this experiment, partially because the "Healers" may not have explained that not all persons are receptive and that negative thoughts toward "Hands on Healing" would produce negative results.
The same has been shown about prayer. If people are not receptive of prayers sent to them the results will be nullified.
For the "Bio-Energy experiment" to be valid the "tester" should have divided the "energy senders" evenly between believers and non-believers in such healing.
The designer of the experiment should not have been the "designated energy sender."
This would have made the testing more valid.
It should be further pointed out that the parents of the experiment designer, both in the field of medicine, may have been active in crusading against the idea of "Hands on Healing."
It stands to reason the the tester could have been unreceptive to the idea.
As a recipient of "Hands on Healing, I can testify to positive results.
It was not my imagination.
There are a number of truly Scientific experiments that have measured the "energy" emitted not only by humans, but by separate human cells and even by plants.
As an example the eminent scientist, Cleve Backster, has used polygraph equipment attatched to plants that show a reaction to peoples thoughts.
It was also shown that cells scraped from a persons mouth and placed in a petrie dish, would respond to that persons thoughts.
Before dismissing the concept of "HEALING-ENERGY" do your own checking.
