The Butterworth Toastmasters Club
welcomes you to our Club Meetings
which are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month from 8:00pm at Tanjung Country Club, 521 Jalan Tanjung Bungah, Penang Island, next to Novotel Hotel.
History
Butterworth Toastmasters was the second Club chartered in Penang in 1980. Interestingly, all Club meetings have been held in Penang Island and never in Butterworth (mainland).
The name "Butterworth" was chosen because most of the charter members, while residing in Penang Island, were working in Butterworth!!!
The Club has won the Top Ten Bulletin Award three times and members like CTM SH Choo, CTM KK Chee, CTM Sunalini, DTM SL Liew, CTM Mary Schneider and TM Ragini have made their mark at the Division, District and/or International Taped Speech Contests.
Club membership is open to members of the public. After every meeting, we will adjourn to Mutiara Selera for supper and fellowship.
Butterworth Toastmasters is fondly called members as "BTM". BTM is a Caring, Dynamic and Encouraging Club. Visit us this coming Wednesday Feb 25, 8pm for our Annual Inhouse Speech Contest!
