Penguin Dream Story Game Guide: Level One


     In this level, Penta is getting used to his skills and attack methods. He has 180 seconds to get to the phone booth at the top of the waterfall. Along his way, he'll encounter a variety of creatures who are helping Ginji by tempting Penta with sweets. Thankfully, some of these enemies carry Ginji's diet drink; the secret to Ginji's impressive physique! Penta can take and drink these drinks to "shape up!". However, too much of a good thing is, indeed, too much of a good thing! If Penta drinks too many diet drinks, he will start plumping up again! It is best to drink just enough to get to the "Thin!" level, then avoid the drinks like other temptations!

Enemies:

Penta will face blue, orange, and red beetles . The blue variety stir as Penta approaches, and jump up if Penta gets too close. The orange beetle plods back and forth in a very predictable manner, and shouldn't be too hard for Penta to deal with, even in his chubbiest state. The red beetles are the most aggressive of the breed, charging at Penta from beyond his range of vision with little to no warning.
Even the fish in the rivers are working for Ginji.
Birds swoop down and drop crazed, kamikazee minions who explode into -what else- candied apples!
The volcanoes in the distance have been instructed to fling doughnuts toward our unsuspecting hero!
Ever the tyrant, Ginji pushes large hippopotomi down from the top of the waterfall, hoping to squash penta's chances of winning back Penko.
Ginji's henchmen appear along the way, tempting Penta by throwing candied apples his way. There are red and a blue varieties. Their attack method is very predictable, and if Penta is on his toes, they can be easily vanquished. The blue henchmen pace back and forth, lobbing candied apples as they go. As the red henchmen approach Penta, they jump high into the air and toss apples down toward Penta.
