Chapter 11: Justice

If the misery of the poor be caused not by the laws of nature, but by our institutions, great is our sin. - Charles Darwin

A man once showed me a factory that polluted the land. He tried to tell me how important the factory was, since it contributed so much to civilization. I failed to see the value of the factory. I did see the value of the life the factory was destroying.

You might ask me why I do not just run away to the woods and leave civilization alone. I do not want to run away. I want to destroy. I was there, in Tompkins Square Park, when a. bunch of self-styled anarchists pushed the police out of the park. It was a disgusting place, full of human rejects: bums, junkies, nuts, and talentless musicians. Interesting, but pointless. Social rejects will not to defeat civilization. The people who actually contribute to civilization are the ones who must turn against it, or else the police will come back and close the park.

I was very young then, a lot younger than now. It was only a few months ago. After leaving the park, I started to travel around, and slept anywhere. I learned how to clean maggots out of my hair and learned all about skin infections, lung fluids, and swollen ankles. I found myself to be unafraid to do what I wanted to do. Some people say that I am heading down a path of self-destruction. How do they know? They have never been there.

I met an older woman, and we became good friends. She had a lot of problems in her life that I do not have. I can just walk away, back into my fantasy world, which the real world does not resemble. I did not want to walk away because she was fun to be with. Perhaps more than anyone else, she made me pay attention to the world outside myself. Through this woman I met many people who are considered the lowest level of society. I do not like poverty. Poverty is to always lose. I have never been poor. Now that I know a few people who are poor, I hate civilization even more. Now, I have a reason to hate, not like in my younger days when I would just hate.

Most people do not understand the difference between poor and primitive. Poor people have basic human rights taken away from them. Primitive people live as people are meant to live. A mining town in Appalachia is an extremely depressing place, because they are poor. The people who live in the backwoods, away from the towns, are primitive and not as miserable. I once told a group of Jews in New York that I had visited hillbilly country. These Jews then began to make a bunch of remarks indicating that they considered hillbillies to be ignorant, superstitious, and bigoted. The Jews consider themselves progressive and enlightened, and have never met a real hillbilly. Real backwoods hillbillies have a strong sense of purpose in life. They are barbarians who know life, as no one in a city could know.

These jews were believers in left wing politics and think that we can cure poverty with more government programs.  They ignore the fact that most poor people are passed around from one government program to another. We do not need more government programs. I know lots of poor people who would like the government to stop interfering and manipulating their lives. These poor people think they could be prospering if the government was not constantly knocking them down.

The Jews accused me of not caring about the poor because I would not agree with their left wing political point of view. I tried to explain that I did care. They then accused me of being a spoiled rich kid who’s been brain washed by upper class elitist ideology. They said that I and idealize successful rich people. They said that I see suffering as necessary and enjoy seeing people suffer. They accused me of not knowing the difference between right and wrong. They would not listen to anything else I had to say.

A man once told me that if I wanted to know right from wrong, I should check the Bible. So I read the silly book. What I found was almost any right or wrong I wanted. One minute, the book tells you love your neighbors; the next, it tells the Jews to kill their neighbors. I notice a lot of people use the book to support whatever they want to prove. So I will use it too. In Genesis, God told people to be fruitful and multiply; that sounds good. He told us this before the fall, so obviously the fall was not caused by sex, the way some ascetics would want you to believe. In Samuel, He told us that a king would rule over them, steal from them, and make them work, and that they would not be free; this sounds like a God who would rather you be free. I could use a whole bunch of these examples to support what I say, just as someone could use the Bible to find examples that disprove what I say. The book did not tell me right from wrong. A lot of people say that they follow the book, but actually they interpret the book in their own way and follow what they want the book to say. An idea can be interpreted to mean anything, even its opposite. A clever person can make his logic sound convincing and might even convince himself. Religion seems to be the art of manipulating ideas.

Religion can get carried away sometimes. While watching TV today, I saw several religious shows. A Protestant said that only Jesus saves, sounding as if he was saying that all you have to do is accept Jesus and you will do everything right, because the blood of the lamb has purified you. He thinks true Christians always do right. I bet if you showed him Christians doing wrong, he would say that those people are not true Christians. I seriously doubt that his idea of a true Christian ever existed, and I do not think Jesus is a magical force that makes you do right just because you believe in him.

I have seen people who do not believe in Jesus do right, while Christians do wrong. A lot of Pagans love Nature. Most Christians believe in civilization. Most atheists that I know adopt ethical humanism. Most Christians that I know are angry and bitter. Most agnostics that I know are well educated and able develop informed arguments. Most Christians have never read the bible and have no idea how violent and disgusting the bible is. After I read the bible I realized the bible is evil. The bible supports murder, rape, tyranny, racism, intolerance, slavery, hypocrisy, superstition, child abuse, theft, hatred, homophobia, inequity, ignorance, persecution, vengeance, paranoia and genocide. Evil men who wanted to validate their evil traditions wrote the bible. They invented an evil God who supported their evil plans. Today evil men praise this book. The bible is used by Christians to support censorship, discrimination against women, cruel punishment, fraud and sexual insincerity. No moral person with any sense of right and wrong would ever follow the bible.

Atheists are notorious for annoying people with literal interpretations of bible quotes. But guess what. The atheists are right. Psalm 137 verse 9 sums up the message of the bible. "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.”

Christianity is guilty of a lot of evil. For example, missionaries who wanted to save Indians' souls by bringing them the word of God ended up carrying disease all over North and South America, killing millions of natives, leaving a few survivors to be conquered by Europe. If Jesus is guiding them, then he is guiding them to do evil. I once heard a Catholic priest say that only the Holy Mother Church of Rome is the Body of Christ and that the Church is guided by Christ. I think we can say that the Roman Catholic Church has made a lot of mistakes in the past. It condemned scientists, tortured witches, and made masturbation a sin. It is a civilization. It would seem that when people claim to have a guiding light, they really do not.

Page after page in the Koran is spent talking about none believers being punished in the afterlife.  Mohamed reminds me a lot of The New testament Paul. Both Paul and Mohamed take perverted pleasure wishing suffering on other people. They hate people who have different images of God. They want to manipulate the concept of God and only allow one image. These guys do not respect a God who likes having many faces. Instead they condemn the idols of other people. People have different Ideas of God. I do not know which image is correct. Perhaps Joseph Campbell was right when he called these different images the Mask of God. I refuse to believe that the face behind the mask is the hateful God of Paul of Mohammed.

Some people think that believing that good people will be rewarded in an after life is necessary to guide people to be good. Trouble argument is that most people have their own idea of what they think is good. I bet both Hitler and Stalin died believing that what they did was right and expected a reward in the afterlife. Some people claim to have faith in the Bible or the Koran or the Gita or the Dharma. I do not think they really do because they actually ignore these books and invent their own interpretations. I think most people develop a sense of right and wrong from interacting with each other people. Cultural traditions and biological instincts might guide us some but the real guiding light in your life is how well you get along with other people. Perhaps ethics is really the art of knowing what to give and what to take.

Instead of following some ancient superstition let us try to make the best of the life you’re living right now. The whole world is your home. Ethic is the art of living as part of this home.

A lot of civilized people think they could walk away from a cult like Jones Town or Waco. All cultures are cults, but people usually reserve the word "cult" for tiny civilizations that are separate from the big ones. Those cults are similar to the small ancient civilizations that had divine kings, who would be buried with their followers. The big civilization has a different kind of king, but you are still just as buried in it. Let us see who really has what it takes to walk away. Those people in Waco or Jones Town did not leave, because they could only see themselves in the cult, not outside.

I prefer to invent an uncivilized cult. I assume that my system is good and don't care what God thinks about it; I would consider it good, even if God did not. He might be evil. Too many people worry about what God wants. They invent a God who agrees with them and put words in God's mouth. They can do any evil and say that God wants them to do it.

Civilization is evil. I am sure of that, but I wonder if the people who support civilization also are evil. Most of them are not consciously trying to do evil. Even a businessman who cuts down a forest and disturbs the environment might believe that he is doing good for mankind. Some people do evil in order to accomplish a greater good. It is rare to meet someone who does evil just to be evil. A true worshiper of evil is rare. Perhaps people do evil to the world because they are not aware how their actions affect the world.

Sometimes a civilized person will not like one particular civilized method and prefers another. He might assume that he is doing good by choosing the better way and then assumes he is making the situation better, when all he is doing is reinforcing the problem. It is like an alcoholic who discovers that he has less trouble by switching from gin to vodka, but stays an alcoholic and does not really help himself.

Suburban American cults seem to emphasize progressing yourself or adjusting to civilization. The typical suburban American cult practices psychological therapy to make themselves upwardly mobile. They try to bring a peace into their own lives by putting themselves in harmony with their business world. They think they are creating world peace and that everyone should join them; I hate this self-perversion. They are all part of the civilized, progressives' disease that makes them feel like their pointless lives have a point.

Civilization alters the environment, so the only way people can support themselves is by joining the system. A person will support civilization if it is the only way that person knows how to support his family. Your family would be happier without civilization. It might seem impossible and maybe you would like to just give up and forget you ever doubted civilization. We must ask where we really belong. Justice is everything in its right place; we must find ways for this to exist. The world must return to the way they were before civilization. All the Nature progress destroyed must grow back. Only then can there be justice.

People in civilization are crushed by the system. When an evil does happen, they might say, "I had no other choice," and not consider themselves guilty. They blame the authorities for their problems, but actually the authorities are just as much a victim as they are. So I am going to say that all people in civilization are guilty of the worst evil. Only the people who resist civilization are innocent. They could do it, so why can't you? They fight while the others just waste away. Someone who fights civilization is not a victim. At least they own their own souls. All the people who support civilization have no souls of their own. If civilization ever falls, and I hope it does, millions of civilized people will suddenly suffer, but they deserve it, because they made it happen. The people who protect the Sacred Grove are the only people I care about.

On the day of judgment, it has been said they will separate the goats from the sheep. The goats will escape and run away free, the sheep will be slaughtered and sold for meat. I have always been repulsed by people who submit. Those accept the prison of civilization deserve what they get. Ever heard of the theory that truth is determined by victory in battle? I am not sure if that is always true. It does leave open the possibility that we can make something true. Ultimately we can have control over any situation.

Today, a disease called civilization has spread over the entire world, but we can still stop it. As long as one tree in the Sacred Grove is left, we can still make the water of life. All it takes is one cell which is immune to a disease to cure the entire body, if that cell can spread its immunity. I believe I have found this immunity and now I am trying to spread it to you. Sometimes when a cell receives immunity, it can improve the immunity. A few people may have wanted to stop civilization, but did not know how to take the first step. I have tried to take a first step. I'm just a guy who is good at talking to ghosts. Perhaps this first step will stumble, but someone else can always start over again. If this path fails, you can try another and learn from my mistakes. I think if the truth-that civilization is not best-is allowed to spread, more people will fight it. More people will think of ways to stop it, and one of these ways is going to work. Civilization will fall; eventually it will fall.

The king of the mountain may seem all-powerful, but eventually he will fall. He is there to guard the Grove. When he can no longer guard the Grove, someone will kill him and take his place. Usually, his disciples will protect him, but if he fails to be loyal to the Goddess, his own disciples will kill him. Civilization has turned against the Goddess; it is time for its own disciples to destroy it.

It is difficult for people to separate from the system, but it can be done, maybe not by one man alone, but two can do ten times more than one. Three can do one hundred times more than two. Four can do a thousand times more than three, which is a million times more than one.

The Woods

I traveled alot when I was young.I remember seeing the Amazon jungle from a plane. Flying over, it looked like a flat, smooth carpet of green that stretched on and on forever. We flew over the jungle for a long time; then, suddenly, the forest stopped. Bulldozers cut down a large section of the Amazon forest. All they had left was red clay for as far as the eye could see.

I knew a man who ran a logging company. I am not sure if he was the same man who cut down the section I saw, but I think he was. The nuns at the school told me to admire this man because he had so much ability. The nuns worshipped Progress, thinking that God manifested himself in the world through progress and believing that you must contribute to progress to join with God. The nuns thought that the man who cut down the trees was a manifestation of God, who was doing God's work. I looked at the clay and saw the Earth bleed. The forest had been there for thousands of years. He did not have to cut it down now. No one had to cut it down. He could have lived in the forest. The nuns wanted to make me like the man who cut the trees, but I refused to be that way. Now, the nuns think I am a failure. I think those women failed at life. Now they are enemies of life. They think surrendering yourself to the God of progress is success. I am at least trying to be part of life. No one else saw the Earth bleed the way I did. I was very young at the time, but knew the lumber company was evil and knew the nuns were evil. I also knew there could be good and dedicated myself to finding this good. I have found it in the trees the nuns wanted me to destroy. I never became the man who had cut the trees; he had ability, evil ability.

While I was in the forest, I felt a presence that was the character of the forest, the spirit of the forest. I felt not just the spirit that creates the forest, but also the spirit created by the forest. I began to feel the Earth as a thinking, living personality. This thought opened an eye inside of me. Creatures in the wild are strong and fierce. When I look at civilized people, I see a pathetic stupidity. Mountains, rivers, and rock in the field all have a power, which everything in nature can also feel. The dark side will make you feel almost as if you were real. Magic is not civilized psychotherapy. Magic is not the energy to bend spoons. Magic is brutality, aggression, and intensity; life makes it grow. I have felt primal instinct and I like it. I realize what is truly sacred. Ok, so maybe I just made up this paragraph, but it is kind of true. I did feel something when in the jungle, perhaps just a fascination that later developed into this obsession with nature. I have kind of forced myself to believe it was more.

Seeing the forest cut down bothered me. I knew something wrong was happening. Cutting down the Amazon was possibly more wrong than anything that people have done before. This happened when people were worried about the Vietnam War. The war was insignificant, compared to the Earth bleeding. Looking down from Heaven at the Earth, you ca not see ten million men die, but ten million trees being cut down leaves an empty space, which you can see. I wonder which does God actually care about. The man who cut the trees down thinks that God gave people the world so he can use it any way he wants. I think the well-being of life on Earth is more important than just one species. We have no right to turn the world into a wasteland. I doubt God gave it to us just so we would destroy it. There has to be another way. But, the man who cut down the trees wanted economic development for the Amazon region, so even the jungle can contribute to civilization, like every other piece of the Earth. Twenty years ago large pieces of Amazon forest remained that progress had not touched. Those pieces are gone today. I remember seeing clear skies over the jungle, but now, they say, there are no clear skies over the Amazon; it is full of smoke from the burning jungle. Progress no longer uses the trees for anything. Now they are just burning the jungle away. What does progress want?

A few weeks later I was back at school On top of a nearby hill was a big statue of Christ, arms outstretched, as if he was trying to embrace the town below. I had always wanted to climb the hill and see the statue close up, but every time I tried, the hill became so steep that I was holding onto the roots of trees to keep from falling. I walked about and noticed a large bull water buffalo in a fenced in area. I sat on a termite mound next to the fence and watched a blackbird crawl up and down the bull's back. Then I noticed a trail that went up the hill to the statue behind the bull. I looked to the left, and the fence seemed to stretch into a hill, which would be too muddy to walk. To the right the fence went up into the steep hill that I could not climb before. The only way to get to the statue was through the bullpen. I jumped the fence and ran across the yard, then jumped the fence on the other side. When I looked back, the bull had not even followed me.

I walked up the trail and saw the statue of Christ. The base of the statue was covered with blood and candle wax. Several chicken parts were arranged around two smaller statues. Someone had been practicing Macumba on the hill the night before. A chalk line divided the two statues, as if they should remain separate. The first statue looked like a mermaid; she is Yemanja, the Brazilian Mother Goddess. The next statue had a two-sided ax on top of his head that looked like two triangles pointing at each other; he is Chango, the Thunder God, the Voodoo Jupiter.

I remember a story one of the servants told me about Yemanja. When her cult came from Africa, she asked permission from the native Goddess for her cult to be practiced in South America. The native Goddess was a Jaguar Goddess. The Jaguar gave Yemanja permission, as long as the Amazon jungle is untouched. The Christian God is considered rude because he never asked for permission. His cult just invaded the land, and the Christian God does not respect other Gods. Civilization built the Transamazonas Highway, which cut through the forest and allowed settlers to move in. They performed a sacrilegious act that violated the Earth. The Catholic nuns who worship the God of progress do not understand how evil their rude God is.

I noticed a string of Roman Catholic rosary beads over the statue of Yemanja and had a strong feeling that the beads did not belong on her, so I took them off. I was about to put them on Chango when I felt that they did not belong on him, either. So I threw the beads and they seemed to disappear in mid-air. I was only nine years old and had just done a magick trick that involved the Gods guiding me.

Cops

I once heard a civilized man say that we must have governmental laws to be free. I asked him why? He said, "Because they protect you from violence, and this keeps you free from suffering." I then asked him, "What if the laws are making you suffer, and you would be free without them?" He refused to listen to me after I said that. Apparently, he is convinced that we need laws. He is a cop. His job is to arrest people who break civilization's laws. You might wonder how he can hurt other people and not feel guilty. The truth is that he does feel guilty for what he does, but he still does it because he thinks that the system must keep going. He is typical of a lot of civilized people. He has even killed people for civilization, and probably will kill again. His uniform is supposed to represent him as a servant of the community, but I think it means he is an enemy of mankind. He has no faith in his fellow humans. He thinks that people must be kept in an ordered, lawful society. He is civilization. Civilization is organized hatred against mankind. If only he knew more about humanity, perhaps he would have more faith in people and would realize that he is doing wrong. He said to me, "If you saw the things I saw, you would change your mind." Apparently, he saw a lot of violence. I asked him if he was stopping this violence. He replied, "I try."

This cop is an example of progress bleeding the world. Ignorant doctors would bleed sick people, hoping to make them better, but the bleeding would make them sicker. A person's natural immunity would have cured him, if he had just been left alone. I have faith that people could build a healthy life if they were freed from civilization. If there were no cops, people would take care of each other. The cop will not let them take care of each other. He cages them in, so they fight each other rather than help each other. Then he bleeds them more. People forget how to help each other and become dependent on the cops.

This cop says that he loves mankind. If you believe in progress, you might assume that the only way for you to love people is to join civilization. Civilization does not love us. They love what they want us to be. They want to change us, because they hate what we are. Their love is actually hate, because if they truly loved us, they would just let us be. I asked the cop, "What if the system you belong to is causing the violence?" He asked me how people could live without the laws. I said, "They would work things out for themselves and would not have you to stand in their way." He then started to accuse me of being young and immature.

When I do find someone who examine the facts with me, we usually come to the conclusion that a lot is wrong with civilization, but the other person tells me that I can never stop it. I tell him that I know a way: Just walk away from civilization and become uncivilized; find a Sacred Grove and protect it. The religion I have described in this book may seem like anarchy, and it is. I like to call my cult, "The Church of Holy Anarchy."

There are no laws other than the laws of Nature in the temple. The police have no authority in the temple. Any cop who enters the temple and attempts to enforce a civilized law should be asked to stop what he is doing. If he still keeps trying to enforce a civilized law, he should be removed with force. He is a threat to our barbarian of life and is also violating the sacred savagery of the temple. Any government that threatens the temple should also be destroyed. Actually all civilized governments should be destroyed, because they threaten Nature. Destroy all civilization, even if it seems to accept your temple. You cannot trust civilization; it is very deceptive. You must destroy their factories. You must destroy their bridges. You must destroy their office buildings. You must destroy their money. Never accept anything from them, because everything they offer is like an addictive drug. Never give anything to them, because they will want more. Never sign their contracts, because a contract is their way of taking you from you. Travel far to destroy civilization, even if it seems far from you, because it spreads. You must protect your Sacred Grove, to be free to build your temple.

I have noticed that people who do not have faith in people, have never stopped to think if what they say is true. When I question civilization, they wonder how I could ask such a question and criticize me rather than think about the question. These people will send the cops out to shoot you, if you break one of their laws. I am not going to take it. I have had enough of their shit.

Cops are among the evilest form of villain. They arrest people and make people miserable. The majority of people who are arrested are not arrested for real crimes. Instead they are arrested for legal reasons such as missing a court date or failure to report to a case worker. They have been caught up in the system for years. Their problems started when someone was arrested for something minor. Usually these are people who did not have the money to pay for a lawyer who could have had these issues dismissed. Whole families can become caught up in the system for generations. The prison and jail system is part of the machinery of civilization.  Its purpose is not to protect people from criminals.  Its purpose is to make civilization seem necessary.  It is a scam. Society is its victim.

Most people think the courts are fair like the trials they see on TV. Go to any courthouse in the United States, watch a few cases and see what really happens. Some states have what is know of as a rocket docket where people who can not pay for a trial are automatically found guilty of what ever charges the cops want to put on that person. You could be walking down the street minding your own business and become a convicted felon just because you are poor. The Cop who has the intelligence of Homer Simpson and the ethics of Eric Cartman is your judge and jury.

Some states allow pretrial conditions. This allows the prosecutors to give people punishment before a trial. They can delay a trial for years while they torment a person who is not given a chance to offer any defense. Prosecutors and cops love pretrial because they do not need evidence or witnesses or a person who is guilty. Pretrial was invented by so called experts who claim that pretrial treatment helps the suspect. The courts use the opinions of these experts as a justification to ignore human rights.

The movies and TV lie when they show police investigating crime. Most arrest happen after the cops makes a quick decision. In most cases no one will ever investigate if the accusations are true. Trials are not a search for the truth. Instead they are more like a poker games where lawyers win by bluffing. They gamble with a person’s life. Courts take away pieces of freedom just like poker chips. The accused has to win these chips back. The police are trained to lie. The police and the prosecutors invent a story where the truth is carefully manipulated. The police will avoid telling any truth that might help the accused. Their favorite answer is, “I do not recall.” Judges know when the cops are lying, but the judges will not do anything to stop the lies because the judges are dishonest. The lives of people are stolen. The courts lie, cheat and steel worse than any criminal.

The Department of Justice is not a department of Justice. Sociopaths who do not know right from wrong run show. What kind of a person would prey on other people in order to advance a career?  They are miserable petty tyrants who just want to make everyone else miserable. No moral person would support such an evil system if they knew what really happens in the court house. The court house is a temple of evil where evil rituals take place. Every civilized city has a court houses.

The courts will put pressure on people for years until the person pleas guilty. It makes no difference if the persons is guilty or not. In fact they know that most of the people who are prosecuted are innocent. Each prosecution becomes a statistic. The volumes of statistics are used to justify the growth of the courts. They stay in business by prosecuting people. The crime that they claim to be protecting you from does not exist. In many cases the plea agreement requires the accused to turn in other people. It makes no difference if these new victims are innocent or not. The courts now owns them.

They will use a person’s record to add more penalties against a person. The original charges may have been false, but this makes no difference. Everything on the record will be used to create new accusations and these new accusations will be added to the record. The persecution grows as a person’s record grows. Once the courts have a person they will not let go. The judges and prosecutors develop these rumors in secret.  They do not tell the accused what they are being prosecuted for. This makes it extremely hard for a person to prove their innocence. A person could try to fight the system. The courts will delay the process for year until the person is financially bankrupt and abandoned by all friends and family. The accused end up completely alone with no support. Eventually people stop fighting and accept the charges. Law enforcement does this just so they can get another statistic on their books. They use these fake statistics to say that they are stopping crime. They use these statistics to get more money so they can go after more people.

In the old days they would cripple a person with torture so he would become a burden on his family. The modern legal system uses other methods. The legal system puts pressure on the families of people with legal trouble. The family is unable to follow all the requirements that the legal system puts on them. Eventually each member of the family falls into legal trouble. The jail and prison system is a business. All successful businesses venture to keep themselves in business. Increasing numbers of people with legal trouble generate a larger legal system. Human bodies are used as fuel.

I once saw a high-ranking cop. He looked kind of like an over grown Boy Scout with all his merit badges. He was confident that he was doing the right thing while he arrested another person. Years later it was found that the person was innocent. A man’s life was ruined because a cop was too sure of himself. I guess all those merit badges were not enough to make the right choice. The truth is that no one really has it all figured out. No one can say for sure if any way is the absolute right way. Cops should leave people be. People are capable of building a happy life for themselves. They do not need cops coming along and knocking it down. We should be able to choose our destiny without interference.

Civilized I shall not be

I am not a socialist anarchist who wants to replace normal government with a workers union.. I would rather have no government. Most traditional form of socialism encourages more government regulation, more government spending and more government programs.  This does not sound like anarchy to me.

Anrcho-capitalists have some idea that might be worth looking into. One that I find interesting is the idea that people will invest in maintaining stuff that they own.  I other words, people would protect an environment if they had ownership of this environment. That might be true in some situations but not true in other situations.

I think what we really need is for people to experience the environment.  Go out of your house. Take a look at nature. Learn about. Think of ways that it is part of you.  Think of ways that you can be part of it. Then decide if you want to protect it or not. Don’t let some philosopher tell you right or wrong. Those guys are just elitist fools. You own your body. You have the right to choose what you let in or what you let out. Only you can choose your access rights. I believe you will build a wonderful life if you make the right choices.

This book is just a bunch of ideas I threw together. Many people despise what I write, because I attack so many ideas that they strongly support. They question my sanity. The witch doctor, who I knew when I was young, did not care about what civilized people would consider success. He did not want to contribute to the system. He knew how to live without the system. People try to tell me how to find happiness as part of the system. Sometimes they seem miserable when the pressures of the system get to them. I try to tell them to live without the system. They do not believe me.

People with similar ideas to mine are hard to find. They find themselves alone surrounded by people who do not understand. When I started to learn about pagan religion I thought that someday I would meet a real Neopagan priest who would make my ideas look silly.  I found that most Neopagans are just as confused as I am.

There are many ways to reject civilization and return to nature. I know of no official word to describe this philosophy. "Naturalism" is the word I will use. Some people assume that a Naturalist must adopt some kind of uncomfortable life style and judge us according to how well we fit this life style. What you do is your own business. You do not have to go to extremes; no one fits the extreme. A small step is better than none.

Naturalism is not an endurance test for the individual. The goal of Naturalism is to see a world where man lives as part of nature's balance. For this change to happen our culture will have to learn new ways. You are not doing any good running off to the woods to die. You need to start the fight in your hometown. You need to spread the good news; man can live as part of nature.  More will be done when more people understand Naturalism.

Aspects of the naturalist philosophy can be found in organizations such as Rainbow and Earth first!. Naturalists are not all hippies. Real Naturalist comes from all parts of society. Some are conservative republicans. We understand that returning to nature is hard. We do not expect that all our members live like the Unabomber. You do not even have to be a full time naturalist. Live as your Beast any way you want and encourage others to do the same.

Some naturalist will not use computers. They think that I am weak, because I use technology, and that I am endangering myself by going down the wrong path. This is a risk I am willing to take, because more people need to talk about what it means to be human.  I believe that many of the problems in civilization are caused by ignorance. If more people learn to live as part of nature, the cage of civilization will become unnecessary. I feel that the Internet is a useful way to spread information. I guess it is OK to sometimes use technology to destroy technology.

I refuse to let the institutions in civilization tell me what is right or wrong. I refuse to let them tell me what I am. I believe we can discover the right way to live by finding our place in the song of the universe. We do not need a book to guide us. We do not need a belief in an after life. We do not need a sky daddy to rule over us. We do not need police. We do not need judges. We do not need kings or presidents. We do not need faith.  We do not need artificial laws. We do not need salvation. All you need is a life to live.

No fair

I talk to a skeptic who pointed out pointed out suffering that is caused by nature. He said that because nature is so cruel that we should not love nature. He said that people who worship nature have an overly optimistic opinion about nature. He said that such people see the benefits of nature but ignore the hazards. I stopped to consider what he said. I then pointed out that some natural disasters which cause suffering are not completely natures fault. Human stupidity contributes to the problem. Nature offers numerous paths. Anyone who finds himself in position where he is being harmed by nature is on the wrong path. They might need to plan and prepare to improve their position. They should not blame nature for all their problems.

The skeptic then asked me about situations where people have no choice and end up suffering. I do not know how often such situations happen. I assume they happen rarely. Most situations can be fixed. Even the hardest challenges might have solutions. Perhaps I am being overly optimistic. I believe that living a natural lifestyle is more likely to benefit you that hurt you. Nature is worth loving.

A few years ago I had a conflict with another person. The other person seemed more powerful than me. It seems that I was about to loose the battle. I could not think of any way to solve the problem. I told a friend about the problem and he could not think of a solution. He was sure that I was going to lose unless a supernatural force helped me. The situation seemed unfair. I ended up winning. My friend said, “Wow you must be the luckiest bastard in the world.” I do not think that any supernatural force caused me to win. Instead I won because my opponent made a mistake. This situation causes me to realize that the forces that seem to work against you are not as powerful as they might seem.

I have tasted victory in battle. At that moment all the suffering casualties in the world seemed like part of a drama that was set up just for my person benefit. I love it. Give me more. The skeptic pointed out that eventually health will fade. One day I will no longer be a young powerful warrior. He wants me to think that I will one day become one of those who suffer. He thinks that I will one day face nature’s cruelty and no longer love it. I think he is missing something very important. I said yes to life and learned to love nature. This will always be a part of me even if my opinions change. I will always be a warrior who fought for nature, even when all my fighting days have past. I said yes to life and nature because I want to live a long full life. I think it is possible.
